Spine tingling national anthem from Japan ahead of their match with Ireland at #RWC2019 #RWCShizuoka #JPNvIRE

For some guys complaining about this team not being Japanese enough : these so called "foreigners" have lived and played in Japan for at least 3 years. Unlike football worldcup, the players don't need to be a citizen of the team. If they have stayed and played in that country for at least 3 years, they can be selected in the national team. Personally, I was amazed how these "foreigners" were singing the Japanese national anthem from their inner spirit 🇯🇵
@MultiTictock5 жыл бұрын
and of course you have some who have lived in Japan since young, studied and have citizenship or residency.
@bluegrassreb15 жыл бұрын
i LOVE Japan but, I am one who questions the idea of having 4 or so , non-Japenese players on the NATIONAL team and one of them the Captain. I dont mind the coach however SAKURA!
@ZZKuL45 жыл бұрын
Agreed about the spirit, I was really surprised about how they were singing the anthem. Nevertheless, whats the point of having a NATIONALs' world cup if you some of them are not even acquired Japanese?
@ZZKuL45 жыл бұрын
@slevinlindsay believe me I was not talking about appearance. I myself was not born in the country I live. Been here 27 years got the citizenship and I would die for my adoptive country. But on the original post they wrote that 3 years playing in Japan was enough to be part of the national team, even without citizenship. That's too much for me. It's not a national competition anymore, it's just another club competition.

The fact is Tonga has 19 foreign born players, Samoa has 18. Scotland has 15. USA has 13. Just because Japanese (16) are the only Asian in the tournament and their foreigners are obvious, everybody else are doing something under the rule. I just don’t see what your point of discussion is.

Some people here are complaining about more foreign players in the Japan team. But most of the foreign players have a Japanese wife and settled in Japan for years(nationalized citizens). Matsushima looks like black but he is half Japanese and Zimbabwean. Kicker Tamura looks like Polynesian but he is pure Japanese. It is nonsense to talk about how they look like. We have never pushed them to join the Japan team but they wanted and played for Japan. Think about football and judo in France.. all BLACK(I know they are "immigrants" though)!!!

I agree with half of what your saying because half of the English football team have parents from African countries but to claim your entitled to play for Japan because you have a Japanese wife is a stretch to far ,, on your logic the the Saudis could win the World Cup if they pay Messi to marry a Saudi 🤯

All the Japanese tries were unbelievable rugby but Fukuoka's second is one of the best pieces of individual skill you'll see on a pitch. To grab it out of the air like that and still have the pace is just sensational. Try of the tournament, Look forward to watching you in the finals against the All Blacks , could you imagine - going to the finals with 2 New Zealand coaches ...What an EPIC moment ......
I was stationed in Japan and I will never forget every morning when the anthems would play, and standing at attention saluting both flags, missing the bus to work lol 😂

Do you know that Captain Leitch even explained the meaning of Japanese haiku (poetry) and the lyrics of the Japanese national anthem “Kimigayo” - to all his teammates during World Cup squad training camps. Leitch believes that understanding the more than 1,000 years of Japanese culture raises the pride of the team. Leitch said coming to Japan when he was still kid.. He grew in Japan. And bloomed in Japan.

How is it different from a New zealander or a South African coming to the UK to play furthering they're carear in club rugby? Only when you talk about money it sullies it right? Well done small minded c%%ts. GREEN ONIONS... EAT THEM AND IF U DON'T THERE'S NO PUDDING CHILDREN. Talking about the Irish I guess uve just lost money in bets. Shed a tear for the Japanese and it was well well worth it.
@SJokes5 жыл бұрын
@@craigfloyde40 Why would you think we're making negative comments? Its a fact that there are a lot of foreign born players and is a 'joke' that we rugby fans make. Why do you automatically assume that this is a negative comment and we're disrespecting the Japanese? Like how do you even see that. I've been rooting for Japan since they beat the boks in 2015 and today they have officially become the upset kings. I send no hate towards Japan and have nothing but respect and admiration for them.
