I just began the video and the sound used to traverse the street is instantly made me nostalgic. I didn't know that this famous bridge was so close to Miyajima! Interesting, i like the fact that they are a castle here, it give us more incentive to come here. I also come to japan to eat local special food, so good to know what are available : ) I went to Miyajima twice but always in winter/early spring. It's nice to see what it look like at the end of May! I've to say that they are way more people than when i've got here but it seem alright. I personnaly did the hike all the way from the beach to the top and go back by another route, it was amazing : ) . I agree with you, the hike is better if you come early, especialy if, like me, you didn't do much sport everyday (so you can do it at your own pace ) It really feel nostalgic to see the Misensan again. As always, thanks for the video, i learn a lot and feel nostalgic at the same time. PS: i like the add of some jazz you put into, it really add to the calming atmosphere of your video : )

Thank you for watching this video and your message. Oh you've been to Miyajima twice. I was wondering how it is to go up without ropeway so it's great to know you did it. From the scenery, I can imagine it's very nice. It's interesting to know what makes visitors feel nostalgic about Japan. It's usually the sounds I haven't paid attention. I'm trying to put sounds and announcements. I'm glad you liked the music in the video as I was being careful not to be too much. Thank you again. :)

Hi Kenchan, Thank you for the delightful and informative video of Iwakumi and Miyajima. I hope you didn't lose the key to the coin locker where you stowed your laptop and camera! You mentioned that you had regrets.

Hi! The mistake was because I left hat and my battery charger in the bag. 😅 As for the key, I was paying extra attention as I could imagine that would be a big troulbe. So I had it until I left the island, even though I lost a return ferry ticket...Thank you for watching and your comment! :)

Hi Kenchan, around 3:06, were those LUUP bikes by the hotel entrance? And during your stay in the Iwakuni, did you notice a lot of HelloCycling and/or LUUP bike stations? Iwakuni seems like a relaxing area that doesn't seem to have a lot of tourists and I'm considering visiting that area on my next trip based on your video. I'd like the option of renting a bike and exploring the area that way rather than walking since I can cover more in less time.

I enjoy your longer videos because it makes exercise more interesting. I rode my stationary bike for almost an hour. (^.^) Without your video biking is REALLY boring. (^.^) I also like your friendly style. It is like walking with a companion (not a tour guide). No lectures. Relaxed, honest, conversation. For example, you tell us when you are hot or tired or hungry which is VERY useful for planning. Those are key points to remember so that a visit is more enjoyable (due to wise preparation). (^.-) If it's a long walk uphill, that's important to know (beforehand) at my age. (^.^) Thank you for another wonderful look at Japan!

Thank you for watching Carl san. I remembered you said you were watching as you jog, so for some scenes, I actually imagined me doing the same and watching, to decide to cut some scenes or shorten it. As you mentioned, this is more of "travel together" than the "travel guide" video, so I'm glad you mentioned about it and actually liked it. Thank you so much!! 😄

Iwakuni looks so peaceful and lovely. I'm sure the Marine would have loved to converse with you in Japanese. Maybe next time, yes? Interesting visit to Miyajima. The views are breathtaking. Sorry you left your gear in the coin locker. Oh well, lesson learned. On hearing your heavy breathing climbing up to Mt. Misen Observatory I decided that trek is not for me. 🤣 I'm glad you walked it so I don't have to. The hotel room wasn't at all bad for a smoking room. I don't smoke so it wouldn't have occurred to me to stay in a smoking room. Looking forward to your next video.

Thank you for watching and message in details. Yes, I hope he could talk with someone in Japanese. :) It was my first long trip for filming, and trying to do a lot while taking care of gears and myself properly were difficult. As you said, I leaned so I have memo. 👍 I could do much less than I planned. 3 continuous day, I missed lunch. The Misen might be easier in cooler season (it was very hot this day) if you visit earlier, but the view form ropeway station is good enough. I also avoid smoking room but I was attracted by the half price. I think I didn't smell anything because this is really a good hotel. I wouldn't do this in business hotel. :) Thank you for watching again.

That is a great video, thanks a lot for it Kengo ! I have never heard of Iwakuni before, and it looks so beautiful, scenic and untouristy. This is totally my kind of place I think ! Too bad, that you couldnt overnight on Miyajima, and that you had to rush so much there. Hopefully, in another trip, you will be able to stay there for 1-2 nights, and enjoy this beautiful island without the many many many day visitors. On my first trip to Japan, this was my first ryokan and onsen experience, and I very much enjoyed it. I love seafood, and as I stayed there for two nights, got so many amazing dishes mainly from the sea (fish, oysters, sashimi, shrimps, crab etc.). I was in seafood paradise ;-). In Hiroshima, the sites and museums related to the horrific atomic bomb dropping in WW2, are very impressive and a reminder that this will hopefully never happen again. Last year, when in Nagasaki, it was also very chilling and sad and made me so angry at the US governement of that time, for taking the decision to kill so many innocent people.

Thank you for watching this series and leaving messages. I really appreciate it. As you always say, staying at the location changes the view of the place. It was even better if I could have one more night between Iwakuni and Hiroshima. :) I couldn't stay in Miyajima, but I could imagine it must have been very nice in early morning and sunset to stay there. I hope I can go back someday again to explore the island of Miyajima!

I love this video Kengo-San! Iwakuni is such a hidden gem in my opinion, definitely worthy of an overnight stay if you have the time. I had never visited until my most recent trip and will definitely come back next time. Miyajima again is such a beautiful location, especially if you can either get there early or stay overnight to avoid the crowds. Although the climb up Mount Misen to the observatory nearly broke me the views over the Seto Sea made it all worth while. Thank you for sharing this beautiful area of Japan with us again.
