Oh thank you for the compliment! I was just mustering any keys I could get onto the piano from my limited memorized repertoire. And yes, the coolest thing was meeting the person to create my custom TN, I had no idea he was going to be sewing it up too. They do have multiple designers and I think they are on rotation. ❤

Definitely worth going, it's a bit of travel to get to Kurashiki but I would do it again!

Yes, Kurashiki is a must - I actually almost considered it wasn’t worth the trip out…but didn’t realize it’s like a whole tourist destination that isn’t talked about much and totally underrated. I wish I stayed a night so I didn’t have to rush but if you go early enough, you’ll be able to see most of it. Yes, get the tiger!

Yes, I was also surprised by the heat in Tokyo - Nov is a much better time to visit. You have to visit again to see Kurashiki! Sorry for the late reply - I am so behind.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE how the customisation turned out! i'm so tempted to have something similar to yours when i visit kurashiki next February. may i ask how much the customisation was? also, i always wanted to ask, was it possible to purchase a traveler's notebook elsewhere (maybe like a kyoto exclusive or airport exclusive etc) and have them customise on that instead?

You must purchase from the store in Kurashiki if you want customization. It was around $200. They can only ship to a Hotel in Japan if they can't do same day pickup. Have fun!

There actually isn’t a price list or anything online. It is a very intimate, in-person type of service. The only info I’ve got if from watching videos of experiences online.

Hello, I will go to Japan next year. I am interested in customizing a planner at TSL Kurashiki. How much does the planner cost? How much does it cost to customize? Thank you because I can't find any information on the website.

There is a small fee to customize each add on. I spent over $400 CAD for everything. The most expensive is the custom cover. The more customization you add, obviously the more it costs. Enjoy Japan next year!
