I always take the train to Narita Airport. Travel time is not subjected to traffic. So I can leave the office at the last minute to catch the Narita Express. And if I leave on weekends, I generally have the whole day between hotel check out and plane boarding time. So I usually take the slower JR line to Narita Station and spend the afternoon there before heading to Narita Airport Station. There are luggage lockers at Narita Station.

I always use the Shuttle Airport Limousine Bus), very comfortable, no lugging your suitcase inside train stations and in boarding trains, plus faster. I board a cab after alighting at TCAT (bus terminal) since my hotel is very near to the bus terminal. The cab driver unload my suitcase (he also loaded it when I boarded) in front of my hotel so very comfortable for me. I'll come back when the rush has quietened down.

If only we could, dear~ Every time we go on a travel, my brother and I always have this kind of “deal” where we should go to the airport earlier so we’ll have more time to roam around the airport but it doesn’t happened at all because we always consume those extra hours to still roam around at the city 😆 I hope you could do that (roaming around at the airport) during your Japan trip 😊 ❤️

Thank you for the thorough vlog of transportation between Tokyo station and Narita Airport. This is really usefule & informative. Previously I prefer using the train, especially Keisei Skyliner, as it has discount ticket package with Tokyo 72hr Subway pass. But the past few years after discovering the Yaesu exit Bus, I always use it! Cheap, comfy, no need to worry about big luggage, can relax and rest well for the whole hour trip before airport rush, and very on time. There was even an occasion of a traffic jam ahead of the toll road, and the driver announced that he will take an alternative path outside toll road and swiftly switched route, and we managed to arrive even 5 mins faster than scheduled! Such a world class service in affordable range!

Without the light is better for that location as it lit well enough that we can see you easily anyway. With the light all we can see is you and not the buildings that were nearby as well. I would only use the light in areas that are not well lit.

Yes, that 1300 yen Tokyo Station - Narita bus is pretty useful for its purpose. I think you're limited to 1 checked bag and one carry on but otherwise, it is faster than anything else between those two locations. With that bus, you can go to/from any of the 3 terminals at Narita and doesn't require you to go up and down deep into the basement. With a train, you only have terminal 1 and terminal 2 stops. But train is useful for other purpose like getting to a location other than Tokyo Station.

Good video Rion! In the past I've always taken the normal express train to the airport mainly because I worried about traffic delays on the bus. From the airport, the Narita express is worth it after a 10+ hour flight, if you ask me. Most currencies are very weak against the dollar at the moment by the way.

Hey Rion another informative and fun video! I usually prefer the train, but I guess since the shuttle is faster and about the same price, it just makes better sense. Also I read that Japan opens its borders for individual travellers from 11 Oct onwards (not Nov 7th? 🤔) Hope to visit Japan again some day. As for your last bit - without the lamp, the colour is more natural, but with the lamp, your face is much clearer - just that you might want to angle the lamp a bit so that objects don't look over exposed.

The many times I used to visit Narita Airport while living in Japan. Having family member departing to or arriving from the US. We always took the Keisei train since we used to live in the Keikyu corridor. Better if you're in the military service or a dependent, you could ride the military base shuttle bus, first come first serve. I don't know what it looks like in this situation though.
