Hello CCH! I'm a Japanese guy living in Tokyo. I watched your video with interest. I try to answer your questions and doubts. About the 4th snack : That weird painting is called “Tsukushi” in Japanese. It's a kind of plant and seems called “Horsetail" in English. Have you ever known the horsetail? When spring comes, horsetails begin growing in Japan. What is written on that milk painting is "Using the milk powder". It has no taste in itself because powder is kneaded into dough. Such as meaning of "With calcium". About the 6th candy : That weird candy is called “Nodo-Ame” in Japanese. Meaning of a Nodo (のど) is "Throat". Meaning of a Ame (飴) is "Candy". When you have a sore throat, a candy to suck. It's the same candies such as Halls and Vics. There are many different types of "Nodoame" in Japan. You had chosen the authentic one. You got it right. "HARB in NODOAME" is actually a herbal cough lolly. "Harb" (ハーブ) is Japanglish (misused English used by Japanese people) for "herb", and "nodoame" (のど飴) just means "cough lolly". And "21種類の..." means: "21 kinds of...", which is the number of herb extacts in this "candy".
