When I worked in downtown Honolulu at GTE in the early 90’s there was a little street cart that sometimes sold the spam egg and rice sandwiches. I loved the rice and nori in place of bread.

I love tempura, my favorite is American sweet potato tempura. I’ve never had Japanese sweet potatoes of any kind. I have had the South American Ube tho...they are dark purple and very starchy and sweet.

Great rainy day video. I wonder if the tempura would be crispy if it was hot? And if Sinichi is delighted by yellow sweet potato, you need to try sweet potato from the US East Coast. It is orange. We have lots of peanuts too. I wonder if anyone has tried to make tofu from them?
