Germaine - Intermediate Japanese Immersion

Learn Japanese through conversation! I practice speaking with Keitai san, a Japanese community teacher on italki. It's a good listening practise resource for those studying beginner and intermediate Japanese.
I'm personally around the N3 level now, although I still struggle a lot with speaking.
I used to benefit a lot from Benjiro san's italki videos so now I hope these will be helpful to other learners as well. Do subscribe if you'd like to see more of them!

Hi Germaine! いつも動画を作って編集してくれてありがとうございます! It’s a little advanced for me but I’m happy that you are breaking out of your comfort zone to talk about less common but useful topics! Recently I also feel that the more variety in our conversation topics, the more types of words we learn, which slowly but surely pave the way to fluency. Vocabs words are very helpful as always! I try to close my eyes to pick up as much as I can through listening, and only refer if I have zero idea what does the word mean.

Hi Jason, yea totally agree. I’m trying to intentionally steer myself more towards topics I’m less comfortable with and hopefully that helps to expand my vocabulary. You’re doing so well for such a short amount of time. I think immersion seems to be really working well for you!

Thank you for sharing this video with us! I think you picked a really interesting and engaging topic to discuss. This is way more fun to listen to than anything we'd be able to discuss in any of the Japanese classes I used to take lol.

Thanks Rachel, I'm glad you enjoyed the discussion! I wish I could have gone even deeper into the topic but I think this is the extent of my Japanese for now, haha. Thanks for watching! :)

Cross culture is so interesting. Btw, yesterday, I was told by my boss to be transferred to Singapore! Maybe, I'll be there around January 2022. I hope I'd see you in person and talk, if you agree.

@@GermaineJapanese Awesome! I was also thinking the same thing! and I'm glad if you give me a hand for my learning English. At that time I'll surprise you with some of Singlish words, like don't play play. I'd like you to think why? why do you know that words? 笑笑

Hi Shane, I only have one in English at the moment. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqXZnJJ_a6Zjask I should try to do one in Japanese too but the thought of it is scary haha. A lot of brain cells will be lost in the process 😂
