You have the wettest water, Lin. (Hot) rock on! About this tale, though- what's the moral of the story? The Hansel und Gretel story was told to children to keep them from wandering into the woods and getting lost... by telling them that their sweet dreams about a land of candy beyond their sight was dangerous to seek out, and that the woods harbored a witch who will eat them if they went looking for it. Others have interpreted the story as a warning not to trust strangers, even helpful or kind ones. Perhaps this Japanese tale is a warning against playing around a fire? And that doing so may summon a witch? Interesting video topic. Keep em coming!

To fill a million horror stories, and another big difference you would have had a lot more people actually reading and paying for the stories while he was alive if he was born in Japan 🗾🗾🗾!!!
