When I was in 2nd grade the whole second grade did a thing called "Japan Day" at school. each class had a different solid color tye dye pattern shirt (my class got black) and we learned about japanese culture among other things. I think the teacher s wore kimonos but all i can remember was the arizona tea, rice krispy treat "sushi", and the cherry blossom tissue paper crafts we glued onto some paper... Idk if we learned much that day considering all us kids were like 7 years old. I do remember the Zen garden activity where we had mini gardens with actual sand and rocks.
