Dutch culinary is endless. If you are still in NL, try to visit Gouda as it’s famous for its cheese (a must try!). Other Dutch cuisine that you should try are Stamppot, Bitterballen, Oliebollen and Stroopwafels. Also try Indonesian and Surinamese cuisine since these 2 cuisines are ingrained in Dutch culture. Most Dutch actually hate the Belgian bag of fries (or patat), as the top is completely smothered with sauce and the bottom has zero. We prefer the plastic container that seperates fries and sauce (mayonaise). P.s. it's note a chees pie but cheese souffle

I love those stern warnings on the menu board 4:18: SAUCE IS NOT FREE | SAUCE IS NOT INCLUDED I’m surprised they don’t have DON’T EVEN _THINK_ OF GETTING COMPLIMENTARY SAUCE! It’s so chintzy-what kind of place _doesn’t_ include the accompanying sauce with the meal? Is that a Dutch thing? “Döner meat” for those who don’t know (like me, until 30 seconds ago) is meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie, originating in the 19th-century Ottoman empire. Glad you’re enjoying (most of) the food!

Yeah condiments are not usually included if you order (usually like 50 cents or so extra), but when ordering other things like kapsalon it ofc comes with sauce.

“Made fresh daily and delivered to the stores” My man, theyre factory made, frozen and delivered to the Febo (and other fast food restaurants we call snackbar here) where they are then fried and put in those boxes. Especially with Febo whats in there is often far from fresh as it could have been laying there for hours. Considering you went to a Febo in the heart of Amsterdam it probably hasnt been waiting for too long, but Febo is kind of a meme for that reason amongst the Dutch

Please go to Maastricht, it's in the south in Limburg near the Belgian border and it's the best, cosy and friendly city there is! I'm form just over the border in Belgium and I've always got the best experience going there, best city in both Belgium, the Netherlands and Nordrhine-Westphalie Germany! Also seems like a good way to end your Belgium and Netherlands trip in a city where you people from both countries in the region don't consider themselves Belgian or Dutch, but Limburger. People from the region don't feel the border at all, we're all one people and the unity between both Limburg provinces is very strong there. ❤❤❤

That kind of machine or place with machines was sometimes called an automat in the USA but they didn’t survive here like in Europe. I don’t think it’s of the future, I think it just lasts. Never heard of a kapsalon before but now I want one and will make do with a haircut instead.
