Nice work, Jason. Love the deadwood. Lime sulphur straight away? I've always assumed that it came later. Good to know. I'll be interested to see what happens to the long straight thickish branch that heads off to the left - perhaps its days are numbered?

Thanks Roger. I would give the deadwood at least couple of hours to dry before applying line sulphur. It’s early days for this tree and no doubt lots of tough decisions to make in future stylings.

Very inspirational video, and I'll see if I can find one in a nursery, and it probably needs a really nice pot????
@TheBonsaiGarden10 ай бұрын
Thanks Mary. Hope you can find one, they are fairly easy to source here and often used as hedging plants.

Shoot, I just looked it up, and it isn't hardy in my colder climate zone, so I will have to do a little research as to where I can get one. I really like it. It kind of reminds me of a boxwood. I have a beautiful Japanese lilac tree (the structure of the tree is beautiful, even in winter) and it is surrounded by a hedge of 35 or so manicured boxwoods.@@TheBonsaiGarden

If I may chip in ,Boxwood is not as flexible, be careful.

Great video Jason - I am not very good at sketching. You don't want me on your team to play Pictionary. But it do take lots of photos with my phone and try to study them to help me figure it out.
