As not a Japanese nor a chef myself, of those global knife skills clips I watched over KZbin, I always come down to reckoning the Japanese knife skills are, though pretty hard (if not the hardest) to pick up, the outcome is just one standing at the top of the tree.

Hello. I'm from Somalia. My favourite food from there is Galamudo. It's like home made noodles cooked in a meat stew. The noodles are finger length and slightly fatter than pasta. And made out of flour, bit of oil and hot water or broth for rich flavour. I've tried loads of Galamudo, restaurants, friends, relatives etc but my mom makes the best😋!!

Hi chef dai. I'm from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and my favorite dish in my country is pork sinigang, a sour soup with vegetables and the famous adobo. stewed chicken or pork in garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and bay leaves. I was a food fan ever since i was a kid i first fell in love with asian food. not because im asian, but the diversity and the ways on how asians cook their food. My favorite food beside filipino food are japanese and chinese food. I was 8 years old when i first cooked my first fried rice.. after watching this anime called shin chuuka ichiban lol i can still remember the first food battle he had was mafo tofu. And now because of shokugeki no soma I'm so obsessed with asian cooking and also the knives! I really hope to win that beautiful knife and enhance my cooking skills. Lots of love from the Philippines and more power chef dai!

Hi Chef Dai! This is my entry for the giveaway. Im from Indonesia and my absolute favourite dish from here is "nasi goreng" which translates to fried rice/yakimeshi. I like it because it's a unique fried rice that uses sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) rather than regular soy sauce which most fried rices do. It just proves that this dish is just like a blank canvas. There are so much room for adjustment and experiment so it will never get boring because we can always try different flavour combination. Anyways, love your uploads and im so happy you're uploading again!! 😊

@@CookingwithChefDai Thank you! One of the troubles I have is the technique to getting the ingredient to sort of stay on the board while shifting my fingers, it's actually getting better with practice. For example, when I'm slicing an onion on a wooden chopping board, the onion sort of slides off

Hi, I love your simple yet delicious recipes.. I am from Malaysia, here we have 3 prominent cooking styles and I have favorite dishes from all three (Malay, Chinese and Indian) styles. But all these styles are kinda mashed and integrated in Nyonya/ Peranakan cuisine, thus my favorite dish is Curry Mee (Mee Kari) which has yellow noodles served with thick and creamy meat curry and prawns, long beans, tofu and fresh bean sprouts as it's topping. It almost always comes with spicy chilli paste to add spicyness to our liking. I was mouthwatering even when describing this dish🤤😋😂. I guess I'll get it from the nearest hawker stall for lunch today! Keep on inspiring and introducing us with great recipes..❤️💕
