A Lunarian Mythical Zoan is an interesting thought. Specially since Lunarians look a lot like the Valkyries of Viking Mythology. That said, I think I would still prefer if he had some type of Logia Fruit. Like a Sun Logia that has Solar Plasma as it element. Plasma is hotter than Magma.

This is a unique and very insightful channel. Really happy to have found it. So many things are still weird about One Piece and mainly because of translation errors. One thing I have always wondered about and that has been a huge debate in the English community was Haki. Is Haki really invisible? Maybe you can help answer this by reading the original. The only line we get about this was from Rayleigh as he trained Luffy and he made a comparison, saying using haki is "like wearing invisible armor" - but this does not mean it is invisible just that the armor is not actually there.

I think the way silhouettes work in most manga or shonen atleast is that that’s not the artist changing the design but more of what we as the reader perceive they would look like in our head. Oda does that a lot in OP

I think the assumption that Lola not marrying him is what caused his behavior change is less likely than you think, and its likely his behavior is actually the cause for Lola's refusal. Lola has proposed to every single male character we have seen her interact with, including every single male straw hat at the time, Brook, Franky, and Chopper included. Loki seems to be a war obsessed individual, and I think Lola simply realized Loki would not be a good Husband, thus refusing his proposal. But I don't necessarily think the idea that his personality shifted is untrue either.

In the translation that I read, about the fruit in Loki's family, they say that he desired it that much that he killed his own father. BUT it never says he has eaten any fruit. I really thought that maybe they had Luffy's fruit and somehow they lost it or was stolen some time ago. Thus, he says he is the sun god bc he believes he should have that fruit, but he doesn't. That's my theory

My personal theory is that his claiming of the Sun God title has nothing to do with the devil fruit abilities he may or may not possess. It’s more akin to the giants long cultural fascination and idolization of joyboy and his inevitable reincarnation. Loki seems to be full of hubris and may have a false sense of reality. Believing that he is the reincarnation of Joyboy much like Kaido did. He may feel especially so because of the response to his evil actions. Being imprisoned and chained much like a slave would could also be a reason why he parallels himself to Nika.
