I lived in Japan for 7 years. I brought 40's of OE 800 to a party once. They loved them. It was such a funny experience that my friends and I still laugh about 20+ years later. Such a great country filled with so many great people.

Years ago I remember a drink being popular called the mind eraser. Maybe it still is popular I don't know. I would have to drink quite a few of them to have my mind erased though lol. Its in layers with Kahlua, vodka, coffee liquor, and soda water. I can't take Jager. I guess if its a Jager bomb but even then I don't like it. It has to be real cold.

There's also one other alcoholic beverage that many Japanese will drink. It's also made with rice but comes from Korea called soju. It is considered a wine in many parts of the US but some soju is 48 proof. In Los Angeles a number of places that don't have a hard liquor license but have a beer and wine license use it for mixed drinks. It's also harsher than vodka and have seen people who chug tequila choke on a single shot of this drink.

Even the bar tenders would join in since it was after the other customers left and they were closing out the register (my friends were DJ's there. Yes it has less alcohol than vodka and considered a wine that can be up to 48 proof (used by bars that have only beer and wine license). It also has a much nastier taste and hits you much quicker/harder than actual hard liquor. Most westerners can't handle it straight.

The videos on KZbin that talk about growing up in the US as GenX only speak of the more calm things that some of our parents were aware of but not a large portion of the things we were actually doing daily which was crazier.

To shotgun a beer, you need to have the top of the can tilted downward so when you stab the bottom, the air bubble is there and it wont spray everywhere, you start drinking it after puncturing the can, as you tilt your head up you then pop the top open. Cleanest way of doing it.

I was a Marine and was lucky enough to spend 10 days in Japan. I traveled the entire country in those 10 days and one thing I can tell you the do love to do. DRINK! I got wasted with many locals and had such a great time drinking and laughing and just sharing a good time.
