Rabbit fish usually live near sea reefs. It has a firm meat texture and a rather thick skin. It tastes great grilled or even cooked as soup. I've been eating this fish ever since I was young.

This fish has been mistakenly called the rabbitfish. It is a Chinese fish called the 白肚鱼 or white stomach fish. But those who do not bother to check on the Chinese characters will assume it to be白兔鱼 or the rabbitfish, both sounding the same.
