Satoshi is right, happiness is beer AND coffee. But I reckon happiness is also everything else you've brought us in the is video. It has been years since I've been to Osaka but we will definitely add Kuromon Market to our list of places to visit when we can finally visit Japan again. Awesome video!

Coming back to Japan/Osaka in a couple of months.. I will be dining at as many smaller/family-run businesses as possible. Sadly I heard my favorite Okonomiyaki-ya, run by the sweetest couple, has closed down. We must protect and cherish these treasures. Love your videos, getting me crazy excited to come back to Japan.

Love you guys. Watching you two puts me in a really good mood. I am all over that oyster, oh my god that thing looked so fresh and plump, and as far as sushi is concerned, I love Tako. My wife and I want to visit Japan so bad. Where would you suggest beginner visitors that don't really like touristy areas to start in Japan?

Was there, first time, on January 2020. It was packed! So many local and foreign tourists, far cry from what you showed. I remember buying from that grocery, fruits and sushi. Hope it gets back on it's feet and do brisk business again. I'm on my tail end of my 5-year visa, effective up to January 2023. Hope to visit Osaka again.

My favorite sashimi are salmon, red snapper and unagi. 😋 🤤🥰 That scallop was the size of 3 typical scallops or 5 bay scallops. It looked delicious!!! The oyster also looked super yummy. I love seafood. I hadn’t eaten it until I was an adult, because it was forbidden by the religion in which I was raised. Same with pork, birds with webbed feet, so no duck or goose and fish that has skin rather than scales. When I grew up and went out on my own I left that religion and began to really experience a variety of foods..and fell in love with all of the things I couldn’t eat for 19 years!!!! Thank you for sharing your adventures & food with us yet again. I hope you’re enjoying Hawaii, I can’t wait to see the content from your trip. Much love to you both and to your family, Sinichi. ✌🏻💕😊

Bit sad to see it changed so much and shops have closed. I remember it being quite crowded back in 2012. Though I know tourists made it able for many shops to survive and thrive, I do prefer it when it is quiet, though a bit more people would be okay :) It's one of the thinhs I always have sort of a "problem" (for lack of a better word) with in Japan is how late stores open. I'm an early bird and it is always so long before I can even go grocery shopping. The tofu shop would definitely be on my list, as well as the tempura. Can't wait to have warabi mochi again. One of my favourite wagashi. The sushi looks good. I have the same; prefer akami over the chutoro or otoro. For sashimi tuna would definitely be my favourite. U don't like salmon or uni. Sometimes you see ika on a sashimi plate. I like that as well.

I went here in November and it was very dead. But where else can you have happy hour high balls and benishouga tempura at 10 am? Really good food everywhere and has a great atmosphere.

Man, I really miss Osaka and Kuromon Ichiba. I stayed at the WBF Hotel across the road in 2019, and had that same soy milk while hunting for breakfast. Ended up having maguro kaisendon from that tuna place and yakisoba from a mom and pop eatery in that market.

I'm slightly miffed that Shinichi expected shops that cater to tourists would offer lesser quality foods. This is something I've heard said before, that tourists don't know what the good stuff really tastes like so the Japanese vendors give them lower quality items.

I used to work at a drugstore right across from the place from the soy milk. I didn't speak Japanese well but the manager didn't care because 99.9% of the customers were tourists anyway. I wonder how long it will take before you see the pre-covid Kuromon again with the massive crowd haha. Very interesting sight nowadays..

For sushi, I just stick to salmon (raw and seared), regular red tuna (maguro?), sometimes red snapper, shrimp (cooked nigiri or tempura rolls) and have to get a few tamago nigiri and krab salad gunkan. Toro is OK, but I prefer the regular red tuna too.

What happened, I Visited in 2019, just before Typhoon Jebi came and created blue roofs. I was frightening to be 11 floors up and to sway, however that market was up and running at 150% in two days and was packed like sardines. This is death for the markets. Get back and support probably the best place in Japan and with Flowers, food and tastes you cannot believe unless you have taken walk/ taste and bow to superb food.
