I can't even imagine the cost of the materials, let alone labor. Are these high end homes?

Fantastic workmanship and attention to detail. Wonderful to watch and even better than usual with the English language voice and text. My apologies for being unable to write and speak in Japanese.

Shoyan-san I'm always so impressed with your impressive skills and quiet demeanor. I particularly enjoy watching your traditional joinery techniques and try to learn from these demonstrations. Thank you.

Would be good if there was a list of tools he uses. And a link to a Japanese company that ships to the UK.

There is a video of him showcasing what tools that he uses (in this channel or in his Japanese channel) and I believe you can find it on eBay that can send to your country directly from Japan. he is a professional tho, tools are just a tool.

How much will cost to built a house like this in the usa?
@jachse8464 Жыл бұрын
A lot, I suspect. Large boards like those aren't common. And the labor would be much higher than an average carpenter. I would guess middle-upper class to upper-upper class.

When I framed in Japan we would punch a bucket full of nails to toughen up our hands. jk :)
