One of my fave Japanese snacks/desserts. I ate SO many in Japan back in 2019. 🤤

I think Japanese will also like Palitaw, it is a Filipino rice cake that's also simple to make, it's also delicious.

Is glutinous rice flour the same? Oh the sauce is very similar to what we call "manong's sauce" here in Philippines! Usually a dip for street foods like fishballs, squid balls, etc .
@JapaneseCooking1012 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is. You can use glutinous rice flour. Thanks!

Can i use water instead of tofu

I bet those boiled balls would be a bit more awesome when deep fried before pouring sauce. We have something similar in the Philippines. Though it's coating is sweet. It's called carioca. Look it up. Oishi!

do you have a soy free recipe for this?
@JapaneseCooking1012 жыл бұрын
For Mitarashi Dango, we need soy sauce as that's the main flavor of the sauce. You may want to try our Hanami Dango recipe that does not have the sauce. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4jQdXqvf9F2btU

Try substituting liquid aminos for the soy sauce. Liquid aminos are soy-free and taste very similar to soy sauce! Bragg is a good brand

It would be nice not to have an ad about pooping right before a food video
