Is the F2 Titan body very much lighter than the F2 body? And how are the mirrors in the F2/T DE-1 prism? Do they suffer from desilvering too?
@japanvintagecamera88693 ай бұрын
I can't discern a difference in weight, titanium is lighter than brass, but the parts on the camera are very thick, and are very difficult to dent. The issue with the de-silvering is caused by the foam underneath the prism cover, so the Titan can suffer from it too. On the other hand, due to its value, the Titan is usually better taken care of, and problems are less common.

On my f2 there is no stop at my shutterspeed dial, is it possible to break the camera, if i switch from 1/2000s to B directly?
@HansRutenbrecher Жыл бұрын
completely normal
@franciscraig8164 Жыл бұрын
don't stress it too much. it's not like it's a soviet camera that could break whenever you turn the shutter speed dial after you cocked the shutter.
@HansRutenbrecher Жыл бұрын
@@franciscraig8164 i mean it’s really even a feature and was designed that way. All the Nikon shutters can do that I think contrary to leica where you can’t switch from 1000s to B

How do you set the film speed?
@japanvintagecamera88698 ай бұрын
There is no film speed adjustment unless you are using the Photomic metered prism. You have to program the film speed into a handheld light meter or light meter app on your smart phone.

It's too bad that the rather ingenious use of the self-timer on the F2 to achieve down to 10 second timed exposures wasn't covered in this video. Mechanical shutter speeds from 1/2000 second all the way down to a full 10 seconds. To compliment that feature, the F2AS metering finder could rotate past the "B" stop to enable TL metering down to a full 8 seconds. Glenn

excellent point @mnragnar i use that feature a lot! F2AS and also F2SB.

On the plain ones without a script there will be a T in front of the serial number

Cool camera but how do you set the film speed?
@ericb68712 жыл бұрын
This camera doesn’t have a built in light meter and therefore has no need to know the film speed. You would use a handheld meter or calculate exposure using the sunny 16 rule.
