I was born and raised in remote Alaska and met my husband in 2020 when he came to work for my parents resort. We got married in the spring of 2023 and love sharing our life with you all.

Just an idea for you re a chef for the summer. A friend has their recent high school graduate going into culinary arts in the fall. Does Alaska have any trades schools with culinary arts? Maybe a recent culinary arts graduate would work. Perhaps a culinary school could do a post for the position for your resort

Yes, but that's in REMOTE Yakutat. They're not catering to the handful of locals who live there. You can't compare a remote off-the-road village in Alaska to Maine. Anchorage prices are generally higher than most lower-48 states, but there's always sales going on. They had 12-packs for $8.99 for sale here (Anchorage) but it was "buy 2, get 3 free". Who wants five 12-packs though? (Unless you're shipping it out to Yakutat 😆)

12pack soda only bout 4 dollars more then here in lower 48. but a1 sauce I use walnart brand if someone wants only couple bucks I say no need to cover n hide the flavor of the meat
