My elementary age daughter loves watching you while she cleans for Pesach! She has been so sad that she didn't see a Pesach prep from you this year! She came running into our room this morning screaming, Mommy Jar of Fireflies just posted her Pesach prep video 😄 She was so excited!!! Thank you for doing these videos! They mean so much to our family! Chag Pesach Sameach!!!!

I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian and think it is cool that our celebrations are so close to each other. Pascha (Eastern Easter) being so late to western Easter has made me feel out of step with the rest of the Christian world. This makes me feel closer. Our Easter (Pascha) falls on May 5th this year.

Oh, boy, this is where the rubber meets the road! It's finally erev Pesach and we're done with chametz for the next eight days! I already have a cleaning lady come every few months and I scheduled a cleaning last week, which freed me up for tasks that only I can do. Well worth the money. In New York, I knew of a cleaning company that specialized in pre-Pesach cleaning. Have a happy and kosher Pesach.

The war and the attacks are definitely impacting Passover this year out here. My partner came out to see me last minute because I had some particularly difficult things that I needed some support after, and he had just left and gotten back to his own home before I saw it, and we couldn't be there to support each other through that. Everyone is fine, but it definitely shook us up for a bit, and has our focus away from the holiday.

Know what? We cannot miss what we haven’t had yet, so I very much enjoyed your video and as always, learned some interesting information about Jewish life. 👏🏻 you should be proud that you’ve sent me to Google almost every video because my curiosity and desire for more has been instigated. What’s that they say about teaching… that we don’t desire to give the information but the desire to seek it for oneself. So apparently you were suppose to show just as much as you did. Thanks as always!! PS speaking of learning, I had to find out: Both mated woodpecker parents tend to the needs of offspring, including nest building. ❤ 🐦 ❤️

Hi, Chana. First, I want you to know that you can share anything here with your community, no judgement, full support. Second, know that you are not alone in your grief; we are all feeling the frustration and sadness over what is happening in the Middle East, especially when it is a whole generation of children being traumatized, along with those in Ukraine. Third, we are so happy to know that Mr. FF's family is safe, and so glad that you are able to find those moments of peace and togetherness with each other...That is so important! And as always, thank you for sharing your holidays with us, and all of the teaching about Jewish traditions that you do! Always love to see what you have put in the plague bags- you are so creative and funny! Have a great week, see you next time!

As the unofficial manager of the best and most Toddlerly Toddler ever I wanted to gently remind you that all of hisvrelentless energy and enthusiasm for life is going to serve him well. And when he’s running a multinational conglomerate and he’s a billionaire he will take care of his ee-mah and aba and his brothers and sisters. And possibly his favourite rabid hockey fan and manager! I am very grateful that you are taking care of yourself and getting some help so that it is not all falling on your shoulders. I know you said you enjoy it and you love taking care of your family but there are times where you also need to take care of yourself too. Pesach sameach! Hope the holiday is wonderful for you and yours. Your talking about the woodpecker reminds me of my latent obsession with mourning doves. My childhood home was a small house with those old corrugated-metal awnings and a window AC unit in one of my bedroom windows, a combination which apparently was prime real estate for a family of mourning doves. So every spring while I lived in that house, I had the absolute joy of watching baby doves hatch, grow up, and fledge!
