I've been waiting for this one... TURN IT UP!!!! I feel like Papyrus watering, feeding, and overall nurturing flowey (and the other flowers found in Asgore's apartment) may allude to him nurturing the plans of whoever the "flowey" is in the deltarune universe... maybe Ralsei because a yellow flower popped out of his head after being watered by Kris? but all of that is probably too obvious! V cute newsletter anyway

If The Flowershop ends up becoming a dark world already in Chapter 4 then that could debunk chess theory since the bishop would be at the church. I thought the flowershop would come a bit later. It could make your clock theory more likely cause the clock was only hinting at the closest chapters and not something really far ahead like i dunno chapter 6. We will then get more clocks that hint at the next chapters as it goes along.

Honestly I may be thinking too much, but the flower-watering thing has me thinking a bit: Is Toby Fox making an analogy between UT Papyrus and DR Kris & Susie, in terms of their respective Asriel-adjacent being? Explained below: Obviously it's striking that Asgore, the literal flower-watering guy, is *not* the one watering the flowers (that he does have, by the way! they're in the back room(?) of his shop/house) AND Flowey, but instead, Papyrus. Clearly intentional. And then we have Kris & Susie... "watering" Ralsei, the Flowey-Stand-In (tm) with flower symbolism. We all know that Ralsei and Flowey are closely connected symbolically. And considering we haven't seen Flowey or Papyrus in Deltarune I'm making the assumption that this newsletter depicts them from Undertale. -- They're never drawn with other DR characters, and MewMew (who is strictly from Undertale) is grouped with them in the newsletter and the last flower-watering gif. -- And who's to say that the newsletter, or *even just that specific question*, *isn't* from Undertale? We don't know which Papyrus we're asking! It makes sense if it's the Pap from UT because of the familiarity, the text boxes, and the characters shown! Perhaps, then, we can draw a simple analogy: (UT) Papyrus is to (UT) Flowey AS (DR) Kris & Susie is to (DR) Ralsei. -- In the form of an equation: UT Papyrus --> UT Flowey = DR Kris & Susie --> DR Ralsei We know UT Flowey was whispering things in UT Papyrus's ear, right...? What does this say about our DR protags? Is this more evidence that we are being fooled by the little goat-boy in some capacity??? IDK!!! (Edits for clarity)

Honestly that's a really interesting analysis. The relationship between Flowey and Papyrus was the subject of just one of the questions, yet Toby made it the theme of almost every image in the newsletter. So at a minimum I would say he's definitely trying to call attention to it because it's a part of Undertale that doesn't get discussed much. Whether or not he's doing it to get us to draw any paralels to Deltarune is another question...

Whenever Toby releases a new update I'm always worried it's gonna be releasing the next chapters before I have my theories done! This man is giving me so many scares. Nice to know I don't have to worry about that for a little while at least.

I liked the news, and seeing Papyrus being highlighted on it again, makes me rue to listen to the bonetrousling sounds in that house of Home Town. We miss that old chap, but makes me wonder in what capacity Papyrus will return in Deltarune. As far as we know, both brothers were made for Undertale and adding them to Deltarune -- the original brainchild of Toby -- will always feel shoehorned (even for Toby, as he had no roles for those new characters in the original draft of Deltarune). But AH, look at the new pretty sprites we got this time -- I hear the Discord hamsters making emojis and stickers as we speak 🤣 Unfortunately, there's nothing hidden in the news this time, and seeing the flowers to tie with the Spring season doesn't feel too meta to nudge theorycrafting. Also seeing Toby doing more collabs makes me feel that he's just too cosy with his work. At least he's healthy. Can't wait to see what bangers he did for the chapters (as we know that the plot will be a hot mess anyway). I don't think releasing 3 chapters in a single go will help much. The content drought hurts more the more years that pass, and then we'll be in another content drought because of planning to release the last 2 chapters together. I don't think we will see the complete game until after 2030 😭They have the 3rd chapter complete they should release that instead of withholding it until the 4 and 5 are complete. But that's just my opinion. Will pray to see this project finished within this lifetime too, heh 🪙

I love your content so much! :) I also really enjoy the little notches you give to your previous theories such as the ralsei theory But did you ever stop to think about whether Ralsei could be Krises sweater? Since the sweater kris wears is technically asriels, so that'd explain the resemblance and how he always follows the gang around, he's literally on kris lol! Have a good day Jaru!

I'm not the only one who thinks the story behind the new song sounds similar to Deltarune, right? I mean, Toby said he even considered using it for Deltarune. I think that this might be important in some way.
