Thank you so much. This was so helpful. I thought this remote just stopped working then I finally came to KZbin knowing someone had the answer. Yeah Happy New Year to me...lol it's fixed.

I accidentally erased my code, not sure how. Couldn't find my code sheet from GE Backlit remote I bought last September. Thank GOD for you! This was so easy, the instructions concise, also, it wasn't given, at breakneck speed, it was articulated, very clearly. I could not believe how fast this remote was reset for my Sony Blu-ray DVD player! This is one of the best videos ever!!! Have a Blessed day! 😆🙏🏽📖💖

Thank you so much..... My universal remote has been working Just fine till the other day it flung off my bed across the hardwood floor and just stopped working right. I tried everything even entered codes in manually and Still couldn't get it to work till I saw THIS video. It works again Thank you Again with this cold weather This Bed Princess likes to stay warm. Lol 😆

For example, if you're programming the TV device button, you would press the TV device button again after finding the correct code. Lost original TV remote to Samsung smart TV. Will the universal ultra pro ge remote work to be able to setup AT&T Hot Spot.

Hi Bonnie. Assuming you connect to your hot spot through the TV's settings menu, an UltraPro universal remote should get you there, as it would provide access to that menu. Also, the UltraPro universal remote comes preprogrammed for immediate use with Samsung TVs -- no programming required. Simply add fresh batteries and you should be good to go. I have a 2010 Sanyo LED HDMI 19inch TV that works so well. Great sound. Great picture... but no remote. Will this remote work on such an old TV?

Hi Jerald. Great question! Amazon Fire TV Sticks use radio frequency (RF), while our universal remotes use an infrared signal to operate A/V devices. Therefore, there is no code, as this remote is not compatible for use with the Fire TV Stick. If you still want to consolidate your streaming remote with a universal remote, you may want to check out this Philips Companion Remote: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKLZZXylhMSbfac It has a cradle on the back of the 4-device universal remote to house your Fire TV Stick remote, so the two are merged into one. I have one and absolutely love it! You can find them at Target, Amazon and byjasco.com. If you choose to go this route, be sure to select the version for Fire TV (a Roku version is also available). You’ll also want to confirm compatibility for your specific Fire TV Stick. This companion remote is not compatible with Fire TV Basic remotes (1st and 2nd Gen) and the Fire TV Stick remote (1st Gen). Can you please tell me how to program the remote for the Amazon Fire Box (streaming box). It has no on/off power switch just like a Roku, but I see no Amazon in the codes .Thank you

@@JascoProductsCompany Very kind of you, I understand the Amazon Firerbox uses RF and the UltraPro uses Infrared, but in my son's setup, (Samsung TV, Sony Bluray, Denon AV Receiver, Firebox) I can scroll through the inputs and CEC turns on the Firebox and the Ultrapro DOES control the firebox, but in my home theater (Samsung TV with CEC, Denon Receiver, Bluray and Firebox) it does not turn it on? Could it be because the home theater Denon Receiver is older and has no HDMI inputs? If I decide to ditch the Fireboxes, which streaming box is best with this remote, a Roku? Thx much

Hi Mellie. Great question! If your UltraPro remote has one or more APP hotkeys and the TV you've programmed into the remote is a smart TV, then the remote's APP hotkey is automatically set to work with the APP your TV prioritizes as first. For example, if you've programmed your remote to operate your LG TV, and if LG prioritizes Netflix as the first streaming APP followed by Amazon Prime as the second, etc., then the remote's APP or APP1 hotkey will take you to Netflix, and the APP2 hotkey will take you to Amazon. However, it all depends on which streaming APPs LG prioritizes as first, second, third, etc. I hope this information is helpful to you. So I'm pretty sure I messed up but I've tried multiple times now I turn my tv on and off with the volume buttons and change the channels with the arrows

Press and hold the SETUP button until the red light on your remote stays on. 2. Press and release the MUTE button. 3. Press and release 0 (zero). The remote's red light will blink twice. Cablevision was acquired by Altice in 2016, so one of the following codes should work when you use the Direct Code Entry method of programming. CABLEVISION 1434 CABLEVISION 1404 CABLEVISION 0514 CABLEVISION 0654 CABLEVISION 0694 CABLEVISION 1523 SCIENTIFIC ATLANTA 0574 I hope this helps. Not storing the code. Once i find the code and tv turns off, i press TV to save it. Once its stored it doesnt work

Hi. Thanks for reaching out. Once the remote finds the TV code and turns off, you'll need to manually turn on your TV. Then, point the remote at your TV and press the VOL+ button. The red light will blink once and remain on. Then, press and release the TV button to store the code. You should now be able to use the remote to turn on/off the TV and test the remote's other buttons. If the remote is still not operating properly, you may want to try programming your remote using the Direct Code Entry method noted in the manual and also shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3uZmHatfsx4ock. If you no longer have the code list that came with your remote, you can find the codes here: byjasco.com/universal-remote-codes. Hi! Great question! Once your TV is programmed into the remote, the APP keys are automatically set to whatever APP the TV deems as the priority. For example, for Roku TVs, it's Netflix, but on a Sharp Smart TV, it might be Hulu. If you have more than one APP button on your remote, simply turn on your TV and then press each APP button to see which APP the TV has associated with each button. Since Roku streaming boxes use infrared signals to communicate with the remote and Roku streaming sticks use radio frequency to communicate with the remote, there are two different scenarios depending on what type of Roku streaming device you have. 1. If your Roku streaming device is a Roku box, rather than a stick, and if your universal remote has an STR or STRM device button, then your remote is already programmed for use with your Roku streaming box. Simply press the STR or STRM device button on your remote and you should then be able to operate your streaming device. 2. If you have a Roku streaming stick, it uses radio frequency to communicate with the remote. Since most universal remotes, including this one, use an infrared signal, this remote cannot be programmed to work with Roku streaming sticks. Hi Roger. Thanks for reaching out. The reason as to why your info button isn't pulling up info on your TV could be one of two things. 1. You may have found a code that works for your TV but only provides partial functionality. There may be another code for your TV brand that works better and provides full functionality. You could continue on with the Auto Code Search process or it may be quicker to try the Direct Code Entry programming process. If your TV's original remote did not offer the info function, it will not be available on any universal remote, since it has to do with the TV's built-in programming. Hi John. You're correct. Amazon Fire TV Sticks use radio frequency (RF), while our universal remotes use an infrared signal to operate A/V devices.
