Hi. Thanks for reaching out. I've been unable to replicate the issue you're experiencing. If it is still occurring and you are unable to program the remote, please try resetting the remote to factory settings using the following steps. 1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red light stays on, then release it. The red light will remain on. 2. Press and release the MUTE button. 3. Press and release 0 (zero). The red light will blink twice. Your remote is now reset and ready to be programmed. If your remote is still not operating properly, please call our U.S.-based Consumer Care at 1-800-654-8483, M-F, 7AM-8PM Central Time, and we'll be happy to troubleshoot the issue further.

Can you run a channel auto scan with this remote?

You'll want to follow your TV manufacturer's instructions regarding how to scan for channels. For the newer GE Universal Remote, how do you program the App1 and App2 buttons? There is no info in the directions.

Hi. Great question! The App1 and App2 buttons can open various streaming apps, but those two apps are determined by your smart TV or streaming device. Each smart TV and streaming device prioritizes the various streaming apps, so when you program this remote to operate your smart TV or streaming device, the app hotkeys will open the apps your TV or streaming device prioritize as first and second. The App buttons are not programmable. I hope this information is helpful. Depending on your remote, the indicator light could be located on the top edge of the remote, the face of the remote where the buttons are located or the power button on the face of the remote. I'm trying to program my CL for GE universal remote for a Magnavox TV all the codes don't work. And I also tried code search but that didn't work either

What if it says n signal

Hi Lisa. If your TV is saying "no signal," that means it's not receiving a signal for that particular channel. If you are using an antenna for over-the-air free TV, you'll want to run a channel scan on your TV. Just make sure it's set to scan for over-the-air channels (AIR, ANT, ANTENNA, etc.) rather than cable or satellite. Visit antennaweb.org and enter your address to see which over-the-air channels are available in your area. If you're using cable or satellite instead of an antenna, I recommend you check with your service provider.
