@Jase Outdoors How do you like it compared to the Reolink’s? I know they’re of much different quality but I’m going back/forth between them and the Golive for our upcoming hog trap..
@JaseOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
You pretty much said it...the Spartan's quality is awesome, but for me the $500 price tag isn't practical. I'm currently reviewing the ReoLink Go PT Plus that is supposed to be better quality. I haven't gotten that far yet so you might want to look into that one if you haven't already. The biggest advantage with the ReoLink over the Spartan is you can look around right from your phone. Hope this helps, let me know what you decide. Good luck!
@user-pj2hp4ig4o2 жыл бұрын
@@JaseOutdoors Thanks for your reply. It looks like the PT Plus is wifi and not cellular? We'd need a cell camera where we're putting the trap.. As for Golive vs Go/PT another thing holding me back is the battery in the PT is internal and, as we know with batts, they eventually won't hold a charge... The cost of getting a new PT every xx years would be at what the Golive is.. I'm leaning towards trying the regular Go as you can replace the batt and they are around $40 on Amazon. Or I still may get the Golive...lol... can't decide! It would be nice if they put a replaceable batt in the PT..

hi how I can do 5 a month unlimited I have Verizon account can you help me ??
@JaseOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
@@martinp1521 hopefully Tina can chime in but basically you have to add the camera as another line to your Verizon plan. They'll probably look at you like you lost your mind and will probably have to explain to them how to add the MEID number. The photos will be sent as text messages but I'm wondering about the live look, if that's doable. I'd assume you'd need to use the Spartan app for that. Hopefully Tina can help

@tinadonica36682 жыл бұрын
@@martinp1521 you just call your Verizon carrier and say I want to add a spartan go live to my Verizon line .. they will want 2 sets of numbers on the box or on the camera and its 5.00 a month. There is a start up fee I think 40.00 or something but then its 5.00 a month then just register it with spartan as usual and remember to buy the premium credits thru spartan ( only 1.00 a month for downloads etc) and then you are good.

I believe you can pay per month or for the whole year at a bit of a discount. I wasn't able to keep the camera so I didn't have it longer than a month. I'll see if I can get a definite answer for you though

Nice review Jase. Looks like a company finally got everything right. Except for the color of the strap😂😂😂How would you compare this to the reolink go pt?
@JaseOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Lol yea, straps sux anyway. The Spartan in comparison to the ReoLink PT...well, the Spartan has much more motion reach to work as a trail cam, but the ReoLink is half the price that comes with a solar panel. Can also run the ReoLink much cheaper per month. Spartan is way better quality though. Comes down to how much u want to spend I guess

What happened to your other 2 spartan cameras since they're no longer active?
@JaseOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Those cameras were the very first ones they put out and they were 3G. Verizon did away with all 3G stuff so the cameras were no longer able to work on the 3G network. I was pretty pissed but Spartan offered a deal for a 4G version. As I understand it wasn't Spartan's fault it was nice they offered something but still would of had to shell out several hundred dollars that I didn't want to spend. Should be good with 4G units for a long time. At some point I'm sure the same thing will happen with any 4G unit.

Can images/video be deleted from the app off the SD card remotely (to free space)? If you get a bunch of missed shots, due you have to go physically empty the memory card at the camera or can it be done remotely over cellular?
@JaseOutdoors Жыл бұрын
You can have it set to override the images if the card fills up. Never have to go and free up space. Some cam you can format the card from the app. I honestly don't remember if you can do that from this app. I'd guess so cause Spartan is one of the best cams ever made.

what the heck kind of bear is that, that it doesn't attack your cam??? maybe that paddle of an antenna puts out a force-field that he can't penetrate. i can't use cell-cams, specifically for that reason. bears zero in on my cams and attack the heck out of them.
