I also want to add, I totally agree! I have tried the basic bullet journaling and my adhd will not have anything to do with it. I have always been crafty and this combination is definitely for me and my adhd. The colors help me keep my focus and attention to things I need to do but, also because I get to be creative in my journal layout, it allows me to scratch that "itch" of creativity which helps me love my bujo. Thanks to you I found what I needed to stick with my bujo!

Books, dark flowers, kraft paper newsprint/maps and a typewriter- that’s very dark academia, but its also very witchy (celestial and lanterns) and gothic (black everywhere, those drips on the front), especially when you look at the journal itself. Very pretty!

LOVE the leisure dashboard. In my last bujo, I decided to try a Dopamenu (aka dopamine menu) but I've found myself never actually using it because the functionality felt vague. The idea of the leisure dashboard feels like a similar idea with clearer functionality for me IMO, because if a leisure activity is not front of mind, it's much easier to grab for Instagram and start scrolling instead.

As I watch you I notice, that I did this with my working journal without thinking about it. I use black ink for the normal lettering and bright red to tick off every task I noted in the first place - which looks very professional for me and I feel much more organized and professional myself. I started to add Blue and green to the mix, and noticed I like blue as secondary accent colour, but green isn't for me. At least not THAT green. I want to try to apply this to other journals I use. Normaly I tend to use like the first 10-20 pages of a journal and then stopp using it and I never thought about the why. I always chalked it up to me being unorganized and forgettfull as fuck ... now I wonder if it's because I always found it to be chaotic and hard to watch because I LOVE it organized!

Love it Jess! It’s such a functional journal but oh so aesthetically pleasing ❤ The colour combinations in particular are speaking to me and I may use it as my overarching theme for 2025 with a different pop of colour for each month! I tend to use one journal a year as I don’t include trackers; and like there to be some sort of element that ties the entire journal together despite having monthly themes. For example, my 2024 journal is the Tsuki ‘Summer Witch’ by notebook therapy, and the overarching theme was to include one element each month that was the same colour as the cover of the journal. Which hasn’t been easy as it’s an unusual shade of purple!

I'm about to be starting a new bullet journal. My last one lasted me for almost 7 years. To be fair a couple years I didn't use it very much but mostly I'm the queen of tiny handwriting and only use two to three page spreads per month. My new journal is so pretty but I'm a bit trepidatious to actually start writing in it (it is supposed to start as of July 1st). Previously the only longer term "collections" I have done are my yearly goals page but I'm trying to decide if I want to add more as it seems like it would be convenient at the beginning on my journal. I'm just not sure if I will actually use them and I find that if I feel like I have wasted space in my journal I am less likely to use it. Also not sure if it makes more sense to copy over my goals for this year to my new journal. On a side note Jess thank you for your channel! I found it last December because of the reading journal flip throughs you did, but I stuck around because its the first planner channel that has actively made me excited about putting plans to paper rather than it feeling like it is a chore. I've seen a heightened productivity in the last six months because of this which helped me manage to finish my dissertation on time while also juggling my academic job search. It all went better than imagined and I just wanted you to know that you helped plant one of the seeds that made it possible and less stressful so THANK YOU!

2:20 those numbers in the right corner of the calendar are the week count.... you put that all out of order....
@JashiiCorrin20 күн бұрын
Not quite 😊 This setup was for mid-year in 2024. So the calendars are for July 2024 - June 2025. I number my week numbers for the regular calendar year though, so 27-52 for the 2024 dates, and 1 - 26 for the 2025 dates 💜

lol, I was working a retail job where we had to label the expiry dates on food, and I got in the habit of writing 2025 on everything. Not helpful for my Bujo 😮💨
