"An overwhelming amount of cake." There is no such thing, just means cake for later. XD That pause while you were peeking over the counter with the cake cutter was funny. I think I will like to use the black sesame frosting for other things, I feel it could be very versatile. Thinking rolled up in egg bubble waffle or etc.

So... I know this defeats the purpose of the recipe, but does anyone have any idea how to convert the recipe for a full sized round cake? Like a two-layer 9" round? I want to try making this for my birthday 😅

OK, I'm convinced by this one... I'm not sure why the brittle needs to be shaped into a circle though. A small walnut cake next time maybe ? And I'm not saying this because I have a lot of walnuts to use. Not at all... If was funny to see you almost freeze while trying to decide how much to trim on top of each cake.
@JasmaFusionCuisine Жыл бұрын
ooh i have a walnut biscuit recipe from AGES ago but it might tackle your walnut abundance! and i shaped the brittle so that it looks like a cracked circle and fit together on top of the cake like a puzzle instead of just random pieces☺

Is there a way to adjust the recipe if 4 inches is too small and we want to make a 6-inch (or bigger) cake?
@JasmaFusionCuisine Жыл бұрын
you can double the recipe😊
@HY-jo8vp Жыл бұрын
@@JasmaFusionCuisine Does the baking temp/time remain the same if we were to double it? Also, what if oven operates only in increments of 50 (i.e. 250, 300, 350)? How long should we bake it for in that case?
@JasmaFusionCuisine Жыл бұрын
@@HY-jo8vp the temperature stays the same, just round up! the time will depend on the size of the cake pan you're using and how thick of a layer of batter you're baking, you'll have to do the toothpick test to know when it's done

hi jasma! how do i adapt the recipe if i already have black sesame paste?
@JasmaFusionCuisine Жыл бұрын
make sure the black sesame paste is pure and doesn't have any additional ingredients! in terms of adding it into the recipe just mix it into the wet ingredients instead of the dry ingredients😊
