I played for him at Chaffey College that year. Great coach. Fiery attitude. Very compassionate. I know exactly who he is talking about, I was his team mate. He's right, you can't save them all.

Bobby Bruce...that kid (hey....I'm 47 I have a kid older than he is) sticks out as one who frustrated me to to end. I rooted for him and hoped he'd unscrew himself amd he never quite did. Bobby still has a ton of life ahead of him and I hope he kicks ass in whatever positive thing he sets his mind to.

The team fell apart in the 3rd series when Bobby got kicked. He was the only one there who had won the championship that was still there so was almost like the one everyone looked to and was a demon on the field. Kicked for walking out a room with a bag of food, who steals $250 and comes out with a bag of food while the other two stay in the room. He was kicked for not snitching ultimately. I hope he get somewhere in life man I can relate to him a lot.

I really liked him because he kept it real with his players he’s not gonna treat you like a baby like some of these coaches do. Parents want their kids to be good but also not get yelled at. He knows how to help his players be great all he asks for is effort if they can’t show effort or wanna quit just because your coach is yelling at you shows what type of player you are.

I tried not to like this guy. But honestly, I played for a Jason Brown. Hard nosed, hot-headed, raised in the projects, ex-NFL guy. It used to get so bad with him, that we got excited one time when we thought he took another job. But what we didn't realize at the time, he was the only one that truly cared about us. The head coach was trash. And the last head coach was hiding scholarships based off how he felt about you. But the coach who reminds me of Brown used his connections to send over 40 of us to college on scholarship. He was the only one that got to know us outside of football. Even having sleep overs in his beautiful house in Atlanta. Which was not close to our school. He made a 3 hour round trip commute everyday. Like Brown he was just bad at communicating his feelings, and he pushed people away easily. A lot of us were from the same project or shitty town he's from. So it angered him when it seemed like we didn't want to make it out. He was the only coach with vision, so he stayed actually physically fighting other coaches. Them other dumb-nuts were still trying run the damn Wing-T! And didn't want him to implement the programs he learned playing in the NFL. One of Brown's biggest issues is he couldn't seperate South Central LA and Kansas. He was in the wrong place for that "non-Christian" behavior.

I think its awesome that guys like him dont give up on kids. My point was, that does not equate to him “getting this generation of kids” by any means. Are all kids from this generation on their last chance? Sad i have to spell this out for you guys, then you get all over emotional over your inability to utilize any reading comprehension and call me a snowflake!!? Bwahahahah. Moron

Well the whole team had an english teacher teaching them they are all victims because of the color of their skin. Instead of teaching them everyone in this country has an equal chance at success if they put in the work she taught them to always be a victim and blame others for their bad choices or failures. CRT at its finest, hopefully she is no longer teaching young people as they are doomed to be failures according to her.

Coach Beam hit the nail on the head. Generation Z doesn't like to be yelled at or truly pushed. They say they do, but fight, or get their parents involved when they do. The other coach was trying to tell Beam that he has to get use to it. But if he didn't do that, we wouldn't have even have heard of this school. Yes we millennials grew up a little pampered, but we are the last generation of not everybody gets a trophy, and non-No Child left behind. Like a love RJ Stern, but dude what part of stop running out of bounds don't you get. Run a crossing route! And he thought that a D1 coach would take that? Plus this generation has to learn most people have stories. But they use it as motivation. Not want a cookie, because dad wasn't around.

Coach Brown can't coach! Profane language, screaming and being petty isn't coaching. He's an immature guy that can't lead or teach young men. If he could, he would be coach today. Look at all the college coaches that have been fired for drinking, affairs, violating recruiting rules and inappropriate benefits, but they're back in the game. Because they can coach.

He really exposes himself when he says you "can't teach effort." Motivating players to work harder is literally the job. If you just tell them to work harder, maybe it's your effort as a coach that's really in question. Even his comment about Andy Reid not getting it done didn't age well at all. I'm sure he has decent football IQ but this dude is a kook when dealing with his player's personalities.

@@jxbrad._5378 Every player can be motivated, believe it. Coming from Mt SAC myself and playing against this douche when he coached at Compton, you don't get promoted in JC football by going from California JUCO, to Kansas JUCO, to no job. Let that sink in. Dude has zero control of himself and implodes on players who aren't mature enough to handle it. You forget these are young adults at 18-20, they're still not even fully developed men. If you've never met dude in real life and seen how he operates, then I don't think you'd share the same confidence of him not having anything to do with it. For Christ's sake, he struggled in KS and they don't even have good football out there...

@Fried_Bananas
@Fried_Bananas 4 жыл бұрын
@@hunterprosperie3384 If you have no work ethic, like non existent, you wouldn't play college football to begin with. That's what most who've never played will never understand. If you have guys showing up to practice when they don't have to, they can be motivated. Hell, they're asking to be. EVERYBODY has something that makes them tick, this ain't Pop Warner where the kids are being dragged to the field. We're talking about college athletes who didn't just pick this sport up to see if they like it. Players want to be there but sensitive personalities like Bobby need to feel like they're wanted instead of feeling easily replaceable as coach Brown would put it. "Great coaches motivate players, great players motivate themselves." Except, chances are, a large percentage of your team isn't great. Players that are able to motivate themselves are quite an anomaly. That's like being able to masturbate using just your imagination.
@Fried_Bananas
@Fried_Bananas 4 жыл бұрын
@@hunterprosperie3384 To be as clear as possible; your argument is that there's players who exist that no matter what, they can't be motivated to be better at something they already show interest in. While I agree that some players can't motivate themselves (all by their self), every player can still be motivated by something or someone else.
