Both artists simply recorded the songs as awareness to this horrible topic which happens every day around our world. Thank you for your genuine reactions and feelings. You survived that kind of childhood and with a strength that those who haven't experienced it don't possess. Empathy and people standing against it is the only thing that will save these children and others who suffer from abuse.

I appreciate you reacting to this song. I’ve recommend this to so many reactors and it’s fallen on deaf ears (eyes). It’s a very powerful and important song that is both sonically beautiful, but also meaningful to everyone willing to listen and be involved in the message and be part of the solution to end child abuse. If you want to react to another similar song, but in rock fashion and if you haven’t seen Pat Benatar’s “ Hell Is For Children “ then it should be done. It’s not as heart breaking as this one but the message is clear. I hope you can do it. Thanks.

IMO country music genre tells a story better than any other genre and not afraid to tackle social issues. Check out Big and Rich "Holy Water" also based on a true story!

To many people look the other way instead of saying anything to change the situation, I commend that teacher for putting it out there. Should be played in more classrooms even to younger children.

Thank you so much for your very truthful and heartfelt reaction, Saeed. It's a horrible situation for anyone, especially a child, to be in. I, like you, know this all too well, having lived it, and saw it happen with my siblings. Some make it through, and some are scarred for the rest of their lives. This video should be mandatory viewing in classrooms ( age appropriate, of course, so as not to traumatize small children), and people definitely need to get involved and stop turning a blind eye to this. I'm sick of the expression " it's none of my business" or "I don't want to get involved." Much love to you and your family. ❤️🫂😊

Unfortunately both songs are TRUE and says something about our culture. Martina Mcbride's Concrete Angeles story involved her own extended family. When I do watch these songs I often turn to Brad Paisley's "The Man He Didn't Have To Be" or his song "Welcome To The Future" for uplifting spirits. Thanks for your reaction.

No child deserves this! If you get a chance check out “Little Boy and Preacher Man” by Jesse Howard, another great one!!!!!
