Jason Momoa Gets Emotional Talking About Nearly Losing Emilia Clarke

Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen are one of the most endearing power couples from Game of Thrones, and that strong bond carried over to the real-life relationship between Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke.
Even though Jason Momoa only stuck around to play Drogo for one season, he and Emilia Clarke have maintained their close friendship. In a recent interview, Momoa talked about Clarke’s health battles and how strong she was in the face of them.
Clarke previously suffered from two brain aneurysms that almost took her life. In the interview, Momoa got emotional about nearly losing the Mother of Dragons, and here’s what he had to say.

@@missmizer I'm not a Doctor. I've worked as as a Navy Corpsman for 20 yrs, & I've worked in hospitals. My impressions are from talking to patients and reading... I'd say she's better off now that she & her doctor have the knowledge that that possibility is there... The biggest risk w/aneurysms is being unaware you have them. She's healthy, her doctors will always be aware of her history so they'll monitor for them, & she seems smart- so she's likely to eat healthy & take care of herself. I've met several patients who were Post surgery over the years who just "had a feeling" they should get checked out... They were post repair for Abdominal Aorta Aneurysms (not what Emilia had, hers were in her brain)...which *will* kill you if they rupture. But, knowing it was there, the Dr can make treatment decisions... Like how likely is it to rupture? Operate or not? Hope that helps?

Many people who have ONE brain aneurysm die, she had two. She's has two minor surgical procedures and one major surgical procedure to her BRAIN... And she recuperated secretly while dealing with becoming famous for the first time on an incredibly famous TV show? I'd say it's pretty impressive.

One correction to this video, Emilia Clarke suffered two brain hemorrhages when each of her aneurisms burst. That is extremely more serious than just having an aneurism. She suffered two strokes, and only around half the people that have that particular type of stroke survive. She is extremely lucky to have not only survived but also seemingly has no permanent brain damage.

My aunt suffered from same it's been sometime but my aunt was being driven to work midday her husband said suddenly she grabbed her head and said " ouch" Kinda of fell over to her side and passed away, so very fast without warning. I’ve had brain surgery one that is considered among the hardest to recover from. I’m 3 years post op and still get worn out very fast I don’t know how Emilia went right back to work. My son suffers a ruptured AVM when he was 4. He was in an induced coma for a month and a half. When he came to he was like a new born in a 4 year old body. He had to learn how to do everything all over again. He has come so far and accomplished so much but the road to recovery isn’t easy. I’m so proud of her for fighting and pushing forward. They've had two children over the course of their relationship -- Lola, 11, and Nakoa-Wolf, 9 -- and Bonet also has a 30-year-old daughter, Zoe Kravitz, from her first marriage to Lenny Kravitz, which ended back in 1993. Jason and Emilia still keep in touch. They still call one another Moon Of My Life and My Sun And Stars in tribute to their time in season one of GofT, too.

So she lost her good taste in men. So you're saying that there's a chance. Ok that is a terrible joke but she is doing great if she can joke about it now. Also the brain is a fascinating and resilient organ and fragile too. I actually can relate. I had an infection that bypassed the blood brain barrier and managed to infect my brain when I was in college and I had the top of my skull in the next room for a couple day. Basically I was close to death too. After going through that you feel like your every accomplishment and experience is a bonus because you should be dead. I mean you just have to laugh at it all. And if anyone has seen her in interviews about the whole experience she does look over joyed and genuinely elated. Hopefully nothing like this happens to her again and she can continue to prosper and thrive. I am sure we all wish her the best.
