I've been looking around myself lately and seeing a whole lot of negativity .. seeing how it was affecting me and my life. Didn't care much for it at all. It has been like that for a very long time. Then I went to the Canandaigua NY "Mystical, magical, rhythmical, radical ride" show on July 10, 2024. I saw SO much positivity. I saw a bunch of people having a blast .. usually playing more than one instrument (and playing them very well).. I saw people interacting with each other on stage in a way that made me think they genuinely like each other. I was gifted with the chance to hear wonderful music .. in a calm friendly atmosphere .. performed by people who truly seem to have the right idea. I saw older folks grooving to the beat, disabled people having the time of their life and not being picked on, saw a little girl who couldn't hardly see over the heads of people that were standing in front of her but saw that she was in love with the person she was singing along with. People were friendly .. seemed to care about each other .. and it was a truly uplifting positive experience. I could not be more thankful for having had that day .. because it was the nicest day I have had in years. It was hot .. the weather was absolute crap .. and in the words of Mr. Mraz ... "we dodged a tornado". lol But regardless of any of that .. the concert made a difference. I've started to re-think the type of people who are around me and rethink my willingness to let them affect my life. Being negative is a choice nobody needs to make. Especially since it is so much easier to be nice, and positive.. and friendly. The world could use a couple million more people like the ones I saw on stage July 10th. We all have our own little tiny space on this sphere we're all located on .. what's wrong with making it a nice place? What's wrong with turning to your left and shaking a neighbor's hand .. and smiling at a friend? These are all thoughts I came away from that concert with. And that is truly awesome. I'm very thankful. :)
