I'm sure he gets that from his mom because when she heard he drowned and she went to get revenge on all the counselors she kept hearing her son Jason in her head telling her to do the same thing. Maniac Cop 3 took notes from this and did the same thing. the killer cleaned the name of a policewoman that was framed, like he was. so much anger and yet, a shred of empathy made the entire movie focus on him helping her. Before that, he went after the necromancer who brought him back from the dead only to kill him, but he changes his mind when he notices he was brought back only because he allowed that. The lady cop gave him an objective when he had nothing to live for. he tries to bring her back but fails, so he snaps and comes back at being a rampaging monster.

That’s not what happened, he was targeting all the people on the Yacht who landed in NYC. He was after her too. Those street urchins drugged her and Jason happened to show up around the same time. Jason obviously dispatches them because they confront him and because they’re in the way of a higher priority target. She manages to get away because of the time Jason spends taking them out. He still spends the rest of the film trying to hunt her and everyone else from the yacht down.

The entire point of Friday the 13th is the concept of revenge/vengeance. Jason’s mother snapped and exacted vengeance on those who she deemed responsible for the loss of her son, the loss drove her mad. Jason actually survived and allegedly saw his mom die which then drove him mad to a point of perpetual vengeance.

According to the TCM game lore (which is considered canon to the first film) one of the family members named Hands rips off a guys face and gives it to Bubba as a gift when he was still a child. Which is what sparked Leatherface's obsession to start wearing people's faces to hide his deformities. He's pretty much the family's butcher and has no conception that what he's doing is wrong in any way.

The thing that makes Jason interesting is that he’s not an indiscriminate killer. He just kills people who enter camp crystal lake, and people who somehow remind him of his past (like the bullies) It makes interactions like this possible, because Jason isn’t in murder mode 24/7 like Michael Meyers or Freddy Krueger. When he has no reason to kill someone, he is docile. You couldn’t have a story like this with other slashers.

You mean the same kids that bullied Davey and enjoyed seeing him freak out just for kicks? I assume you'd also say the same thing to the two girls who tried to murder their friend and offer her up to Slenderman? Age is not an omnipotent shield that protects you from consequence nor punishment.

@@pillarmenn1936 I don’t think it’s justified to kill kids. I’m not saying they don’t deserve punishment I’m saying they shouldn’t be killed. Your the one who is fucked up if you think we can’t use groundings, prison, or life sentences. I assume you support the idea of school shootings? Think before you humiliate yourself with stupid takes
