But he's not possessed by her, it's more schizophrenic. He hears his mother's voice in his head ordering him to kill. I'm sure he gets that from his mom because when she heard he drowned and she went to get revenge on all the counselors she kept hearing her son Jason in her head telling her to do the same thing. So I feel as though Jason suffers from schizophrenia passed down from his mom.

Maniac Cop 3 took notes from this and did the same thing. the killer cleaned the name of a policewoman that was framed, like he was. so much anger and yet, a shred of empathy made the entire movie focus on him helping her. Before that, he went after the necromancer who brought him back from the dead only to kill him, but he changes his mind when he notices he was brought back only because he allowed that. The lady cop gave him an objective when he had nothing to live for. he tries to bring her back but fails, so he snaps and comes back at being a rampaging monster.

That’s not what happened, he was targeting all the people on the Yacht who landed in NYC. He was after her too. Those street urchins drugged her and Jason happened to show up around the same time. Jason obviously dispatches them because they confront him and because they’re in the way of a higher priority target. She manages to get away because of the time Jason spends taking them out. He still spends the rest of the film trying to hunt her and everyone else from the yacht down.

The thing that makes Jason interesting is that he’s not an indiscriminate killer. He just kills people who enter camp crystal lake, and people who somehow remind him of his past (like the bullies) It makes interactions like this possible, because Jason isn’t in murder mode 24/7 like Michael Meyers or Freddy Krueger. When he has no reason to kill someone, he is docile. You couldn’t have a story like this with other slashers.

Jason never had development as charecter . Just a dummy who was killing. It is nice to see that in comic books they tried to show him not as faceless maniac but as a person. He is not a good guy for sure but he has some light in him .

Can't say i'd blame Jason for killing the kids, he only wanted to save someone from the fate he endured, a fate he wants no one else to share, because he doesn't want anyone else to bear this suffering like he has, nothing more than a kid that should've died that day, but yet he's still here, and he wants revenge on the people who robbed him of his whole life.

I feel if it wasn't for a chaotic day, Franklin and Leatherface would have gotten along. If it wasn't for the chaotic circumstance of that day.

Jason doesn’t harm the innocent, he’s still very much evil but he doesn’t want to hurt the people who were like him when he was a kid.

I’ve always found it funny that like, Jason is an amazing character. His design is striking and memorable, when done well he can be horrifying, yet his origins and child-like personality give him an air of sympathy, which unfortunately I think gets largely overlooked by his movies, which let’s be real, are mostly just sex and murder lol

You mean the same kids that bullied Davey and enjoyed seeing him freak out just for kicks? I assume you'd also say the same thing to the two girls who tried to murder their friend and offer her up to Slenderman? Age is not an omnipotent shield that protects you from consequence nor punishment.

@@pillarmenn1936 I don’t think it’s justified to kill kids. I’m not saying they don’t deserve punishment I’m saying they shouldn’t be killed. Your the one who is fucked up if you think we can’t use groundings, prison, or life sentences. I assume you support the idea of school shootings? Think before you humiliate yourself with stupid takes
