Here's what Whitlock is saying in an analogy. You could be a 95% free throw shooter (AKA Lebron handling adversity). And your coach (Whitlock) will still come up to you and say keep practicing your free throws, you can get better. You'll (Wiley and the other 2) say "what do you see how I'm shooting 95%." But there's still 5% that you aren't hitting. Now you could have other weaknesses in your game but the 5% you do miss is still a weakness. In my opinion I think Whitlock's overstating the weakness, but it's still there.

LeBron's life adversity is no different than 99% of African American NBA players both past and present and many players handle adversity better than LeBron when the going gets tough because they don't run and hide, blame teammates, blame the head coach and behind the scenes, assist in trying to get an entire team traded away in order to get one player whose a non championship winning, unknown quantity and because the trade for Anthony Davis went bust that he along with his sports agent Rich Paul and Anthony Davis who have the same sports agent (Paul) he's not even acknowledging that actions trying to trade away all his teammates has significantly in a negative way, caused massive team dysfunction and non trust issues that greatly affects the team's overall performance and that's why the Lakers won't make the playoffs that's going to embarrass LeBron and his basketball legacy as he blames his teammates and coach Walton for his failures. LeBron did the same blaming and finger pointing in Cleveland, in Miami, back to Cleveland and now in Los Angeles bringing in and creating totally unnecessary drama to the Lakers entire basketball organization. Got broom swept in 4 straight games by the Warriors (lied about having and playing with a broken hand) and now with the 99.999% chance of not making the playoffs or losing in the first round of the playoffs (back to back failures) and as long as he's a Laker, the adversity and drama will continue because everything is all about him and nobody else..... adversity he can't handle because he's always wanting things his way regardless to who he screws over.

@@sbwan no Sam ur incorrect. There was people like skip and others that was on Kobe neck for being done and not leading his team to success. It was SAS who was caping for Kobe like shannon and Nick and others do for Lebron because they are stans of those players. The Lakers played well last season and was on the upside better than Sacramento. With a lebron they should be in the playoffs. But the issue is some players don't play well with Lebron and LA playing bad defense does not help them win games.

Whitlock missed the point. He sounds like a hater. LeBron could have gone the other way. About Lenny cooke, not sure about his name but he was the No. 1 player in the nation when LeBron started making his rise or something like that? They made documentaries about how blessed w/ talents and destined for greatness he was but yet failed, didn't even get to the league. Lebron asserted himself and put in the work. People forget that LeBron has gotten better at almost everything but free-throws every year he has been in the league. He's not Allen Iverson. He did inherit the God's given abilities, true, but he sharpened them, perfected them to the point that you can't say G.O.A.T of Sports w/o mentioning his name. That's adversity right there because he conquered it all. He's from the ghetto People, put in the work, walk a straight line n puts his namesake on the map and in the history books forever. If you're not self-driven and aware, you don't accomplish those kind of things when you're already born at a disadvantage, destined to be just an other statistic. That goes for every self-made, self-driven, successful and accomplished people that made it out of the hood or difficult situation on the strength of their own inner strength and drive.

It's part of the show He takes the contrarian point of view. He does well with it, because he believes in what he's saying. He's accurate in saying that LeBron has talent that is generational. Mobley got too emotional. Saying that there's millions with the same talent is him not providing context. He walked it back later by saying other players that are talented enough to get to the NBA, but didn't work for it. Whitlock stated at first, "Lebron type talent, not minimal NBA talent."

Bolt trained for a few years for 100m, and broke world records in the olympics against guys that have put in more work (10 years+ of training) and have put up elite times. LOL at saying Bolt "outworked" them. You're body is only capable of handling so much training, before it breaks down. And, he bolt didn't have the best coach. Same thing with WRs in the NFL like moss and megatron. There's a lot 6'4+ WRs, but none of them have the acceleration, speed, jumping ability, hand eye coordination and quick fee combo like those two. Other Than NFL QBs and guys that can shoot (curry), you need to be an athletic freak that stands out off ability, not just skill over other athletic freaks.

Whitlock is saying that LeBron's only weakness is ocassionally cracking under pressure. I would agree. And I love LeBron, but I would still agree. 2007 - swept 2009 - lost in 6 to Dwight Howard 2010 - disappeared against the Celtics 2011 - disappeared against the Mavericks Since then he has been pretty flawless, except for Game 1 of the 2018 Finals when he had that freakout on the bench. Saying the man has one minor weakness is not saying he is weak, because if he had no weaknesses he would be 9-0. He still has given us some otherworldly underdog stories. 2012 - whooping the Thunder in 5 2013 - carried in 4th qtr of Game 6, coming back from 3-2 2015 - 34 13 9, taking the 65 win Warriors to 6 with his 2 all-stars OUT 2016 - coming back 3-1 against the 73 win Warriors 2017 - blowing out the Warriors in Game 4, averaging 30 10 10 2018 - 51 pts on the road (8th straight finals), comimg back against the Pacers and Celtics, 2 game-winners #LeGoat #KingJames #StriveforGreatness

The only example Whitlock used to support his argument that actually made sense was the Dallas series when he was in Miami. What adversity could he not handle in Cleveland? He carried a team to the finals that was beat by a much better team. Then when they countered with examples of him overcoming adversity, then it's "y'all act like he's the only one to overcome adversity". I can tell from this and other segments I've watched that he's a big fan of LeBron.

Marcellus what you said is 100% truth and a fact. I believe and I'm quite sure you will as well that the expectations just by being in LA was going to take them to the Championships and that's not reality. One of the mistakes was no disrespect to him because he is still one of my favorites is the power with Magic Johnson thinking if I'm correct that he could make changes without going through the process. The other is the lack of total Unity respect and communication within the locker room as well with the younger players.
