Vladi Divac was never used that way. Doug Christie was flat out dangerous. Other big men didn't stand a chance against Chris Webber at that pace. The Lakers were poised to sell more jerseys than the Bulls with so many big names. The NBA was flat out better. Players can just stand there and break jump shooting records now. Jason Williams had entirely too many turn overs in big game situation. Mike Bibby was the prodigy of the legendary coach Lute Olsen. He had just won a Championship with the Arizona Wilcats. The Kings drafted him strictly for ball control. Chris Webber was always in Bibbys ear telling him to push the ball faster.

@@justinalley3399 dude Jay Will did exactly what he was supposed to do, only he did in the most fun way possible to watch! He definitely didn’t score a lot but when he had to, he knocked down his shots. Todays NBA is different, it’s a lot smaller and guys are shooting insane percentages. But for Jay’s time, shooting anywhere from 35 to 44% from the field was really good. Jay Will after that behind the back, elbow pass, and the accuracy he was able to do it, I don’t care what no one says, he was great at what they wanted him to do which was to facilitate. I see you mentioning defense with him, bet you think Steph is a top 5 player all time and he’s got 2 extra inches on Jay but he can’t defend to save his life either!

@@edwardnigma4087 Bibby was controlled. J will took the worst shots
@edwardnigma4087
@edwardnigma4087 11 ай бұрын
@@theo.g.441 that’s because when you’re facilitating and things break down, he’s the one stuck with the ball having to force shots. But even at that, his first two years in Memphis he shot about 38% including both inside and outside the 3 on a terrible team, every other year in his prime he was over 40%, so how does that really add up to taking bad shots? But all that is irrelevant because he wasn’t a scorer, his job was to get the scorers the ball and he did that better than most. Bibby was good in his own right, he did everything really well, but did nothing great, actually Bibby and Jay both shot near the same percentages, Bibby just barely edges him out because he consistently shot 40%+ consistently where as Jay has those two off years in Memphis where he shot 38%.

I remember watching Jason in Sacramento and even though he was the point guard it always felt like he touched the ball the least. At least in the half-court. In the full court, J-Will is one of the best decision-makers I have ever seen on the fast break. Rick Adelman used to bench him in the 2nd and 4th qtr and play Bobby Jackson because of Jason's deficiencies on defense. As a key player on the team, it's very difficult to get into a rhythm.

White Chocolate one of the funnest players to watch, he was like 6’1 but man the creativity in his moves, size didn’t matter with him! I’ll never forget the first time he did the behind the back off his elbow pass, I nearly fell out my chair! And at first he use to do it off like the pick an roll and it was short and sweet and Webber and those guys were ready for it, but the defenders never knew what just hit them. BUT… the first time he crossed over near the free throw line and went behind the back, off the elbow and hit dude all the way on the far wing with a dime of a pass, just wow, I don’t think we’ll ever see someone try that in a live NBA game unless maybe they’re up 30 pts and fucking around. Jay Will’s creativity was the reason LeBron wanted him on that Heat Super team. I don’t know why he’s selling himself short with that Bibby comment, I respect what he said, takes a big man to say that. But him and Bibby were the same height and I honestly think Jay Will was a better facilitator. I think his flashy-ness was bit ahead of it’s time and it rubbed the GM’s and owners the wrong way, so they brought in a more traditional style Pg in Bibby. If they really wanted to upgrade, they should of got more size at the PG position to give them an advantage. In the end it didn’t matter because those refs robbed Sacramento in those series, I don’t care what no one says!

Here's the thing, Jason Williams along with Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan got me into basketball. I loved watching Jason Williams play. It was poetry in motion and like watching a river flow. It was beautiful. But he has the one thing that none of the people on that Kings team have. A ring. And Jason Williams to me is without a doubt a Hall of famer I love the man I love what he brought to the game I love that he broke Gary Payton's ankles and crossed him up. And this is not to take anything away from my baby by the way. He was absolutely what they needed at the time and I do agree with Jason Williams here.
