They were shunting a huge train in Channing just about an hour ago as we were coming into town on our way to the cabin. And we saw a short train heading to Green Bay as we were driving north of Abrams, WI on 141.

Looks like they do need that much power Jason. Normally they would put a couple of engines in the middle. With wilma in the front and Fred in the back to control the braking system.

It is kinda odd to have two engineers on the same crew. One might be working as the conductor or brakeman but is also a licensed engineer so they can legally move both engines at the same time. There are several reasons why they are making this move with the engines separated but may be setting one out for some reason.
