Honestly these are one of the nicest dog breeds I’ve EVER met and this is coming form a vet assistant so I see them at their worst. They are extremely emotional dogs and they can tell what you’re feeling in .5 seconds! :) I once had a cane who was dying on us. She had been attacked by her sisters in a fit of food aggression and felt so heart broken she was prepared to let herself die, but me and my coworker just LOVED HER. We cried over her and begged her not to leave and she fought and came back from a usually unsurvivable form of shock and is still living. We worked for 3 months to save that dog and in the end love saved her 💕 plus a well trained cane is much less likely to bite in a vets office as they understand that the vets office is YOUR space, they won’t encroach on your territory, they are usually on their best behaviour.

What an awesome story!!! Wish we could have vet tech like you at all vet offices. I went to many veterinarians before I found one that I like AND trust. My dog is having a TPL and THP he’s a rescue and I hate having to leave him over night. I only hope he has someone like u there to comfort him. You also said this is the most emotional dog breed you have come across? I have a Great Dane and I swear if he dues something wrong and I he’s knows I’m unhappy with him that he gets absolutely devastated. I have never had an interaction with a Corso yet but my Great Dane is by far the most emotional and sensitive dog I have ever seen. By the way I’m going to school to be a veterinarian. I hope your veterinarian knows what a great and rare employee he/she has.

They really are very well behaved. When loved right. Mine is a big baby 🤣 He can tell when I’m sad and he’ll come and pick my arm up with his head and put it over himself so I can let him its so cute 😍 He’s so protective as well it’s scary. People don’t even come near me at my house. He won’t mess with them when they mind their business but if we play basketball I have to put him back inside as he will bite somebody. Hands down best breed I’ve EVER had. He actually looks very much like Mr. Bruce Wayne here in the video. They could be twins. All black with the same white crest on the chest.

I lost my baby 3 years ago. Bruce reminds me of him so much. He was literally my shadow and spent every moment with me. For a long while after he died I would talk to myself because I didn't have him there to talk to. His last 9 months he was on chemo and took it like a champ. In the end it only helped the lymphoma slow down. I miss him every day, still. Thank you for sharing Bruce xx

Dude. Great video! We rescued a German Shepard/Cane Corso hybrid and he is EXTREMELY loving, curious and insanely smart. It literally takes 20 minutes to teach him any trick. We got him at 10 weeks and he is amazing. We plan on training him to find truffles.

Granted, he won't bark or lunge but makes it a habit to just keep staring even if we walk away he will constantly keep turning back. Bruce is such a conversationalist. Hes listening. I adopted my Cane-Big Mama. I was her 3rd home and had never even heard of the breed. She actually was abandoned to me from my ex who was her 2nd home. She is in love with my children and myself and currently mourns my daughter who is away at college. I was given a cane Corso puppy, I watched your other video stating that they aren't for novice owners. I have experience training dogs and even rescuing and rehabilitate abused dogs. I know a lot about dogs but not specifically about cane corso's. My puppy Bear dog is the chillest puppy ever, not exaggerating. He's a little over a month old and he listens to commands with no effort, it's amazing. I gave him food and fresh water and he went from sad to extremely happy. He even thanked me for it too by giving me hugs and kisses. Bear was shy and intimidated by my 8 year old catahoula at first, but I walked them both together and he did great. Also I am relieved my catahoula likes him because she normally doesn't like young energetic puppies so I'm super glad bear is chill.

Also they had mommy and daddy cane Corso outside with the litter 24/7. They didn't give the puppies food nor water like they did mommy and daddy dog. They were eating trash and drinking nasty water build up in mud puddles. That's how dogs get parvo! So I'm gonna get him vaccinated asap. Also bear likes to drool a lot ..

YES!! Best advice or information for anyone who is interested in a Corso. We’ve had ours for about 7 years. He’s our ride or die, like you don’t know the meaning of love or a Best friend till you own one. I’ve been around several breeds of dogs my whole life and by far the Corso is the best!

love this video! This breed is so nice. I have a Cane corso and Lab mix, I wasn't sure about his temperament in the begging, got him when he was 2 months old. For the first part he was just playful and cute, he loved to eat my shirts and destroy stuff. Now at 1 and a half, he flufin' scares all the neighbours and just every soul passing by. Sweet and playful, he tolerates strangers and he likes my friends, but also, he's possessive, needy, jealous. Doesn't like to share my attention, nor his ball.

Most accurate description of my cane corso I’ve ever come across. People stop me everywhere with my dog and they just can’t believe how well behaved and sweet he is....very often I hear people want to get this breed of dog now because of their experience with mine. What 99% of these people don’t understand is allllll the work I put into training and caring for him. It’s not a twice a week thing or a month long training course....it’s EVERY Single day I work with my dog, exercise, socialize and train. You have to be willing and able to make that commitment that this breed deserves because they, in return, will be the greatest companion and best friend you’ll ever have. There is no love and loyalty that compares. 💙 My dog is named King Titan and is a blue-grey color weighing in at 170 pounds. He’s got the coolest personality ever and needs to be included in everything I do or he gets sooo upset...absolutely devastated!

Another important thing about tempremant is the importance of bone chewing and grinding in a raw diet. I know you feed raw yourself I've seen many other videos. I've fed raw 2 decades now. all with great success and it's an often overlooked fact in dog tempremant. The bone chewing really helps with not chewing things up constant. It's greatly satisfying for them and will curb the urge to chew things. That and relieving boredom should give you a chew free house haha peace ✌️

@@brandonb6320 yeh chicken feet are ok. Bit more like a snack in my dogs diet. But for smaller dogs they do good. Depending on what sources you have available. Chicken leg quarters turkey and duck necks. I'm in Scotland UK so lamb is fairly regular in my dogs diet. Lamb ribs spine but I must stress not all dogs can deal with lamb it's tough. Size appropriate bones always. Don't give chicken drumstick to big breed dogs. The bones are that tricky size of possibly being swallowed. Better with quarters. Smaller dogs then chicken n duck wings be more suitable. I don't do beef bones very rare a dog will take on a cow in the wild lol. But my best advice is species and size appropriate. Dogs will chew through most bones of any animal just be smart and feed carefully. Rabbit pheasant some game but I personally don't know hunters. And some just avoid game all together . Fish I give once a week not boneless but the tinned sardines are great in water not brine. Whole fish can fed but research each fish to make sure all the safe boundaries are met. @@LightningZeusRottweiler yes dude raw means uncooked or unprocessed. The most common approach is the 80 20 diet 80 % meat muscle meat 10% bone 10% organs . Most do a variation on this depending on knowledge and experience. Go research it. Jason has a few vids I'm sure you could find. It's his page so IL let you research as don't wanna be disrespectful to the guys page and list other sites I'd recommend but it's all out their go have a look

I don't think this type of dog is for me because even tho I've owned many dogs, I just know I'm not a strong enough leader for a dog like this (size and all), but I have to say that's probably the most beautiful dog I've ever seen. Good job with him.

It’s funny because there is no unique description of this breed even when you explained it. Because I’ve owned more than 10 dogs and more than 4 different breeds I know quite a bit about breed personalities. And you just described a German Shepard, Pit Bull, Belgian Malinois, and Rottweiler. But one thing that is certain is dogs tend to mold to the owners way of being. I can pretty much own any dog breed and mine always end up being PROTECTIVE!!!, loving, confident, strongly driven, and just savage in a good way. But beautiful dog! 🤙🏼

Great video, I have a blue female 2 and half years old, she’s amazing! The softest dog I have ever met she lives my kids so much, just wants love 24/7, unfortunately she started having seizures 3 months ago and had been diagnosed with epilepsy so she’s on medication everyday she’s had 2 bad clusters since having 6/7 in a 24 hour period, it’s such a shame to see the most softest loving dog go through something and you can’t do anything for her, your dog is such a lovely looking dog

I'm an owner and lover of Bernese Mountain Dogs, but they certainly share a few traits with the Cane Corso: Disinterested/aloof with strangers but super affectionate with "their" people, chill in the house, BIG and STRONG, and need a job to do! I really enjoyed this, you sound like you really understand this breed and seem like a very competent owner. :) And Bruce is GORGEOUS!

That is an impressively large dog!!!! Btw, whenever I approach a dog I ask first from 5ft away or so & if given the go ahead I lead with a down turned hand and I crouch down. I think its crucial to ask first, but theres times when dogs jump right up on you if they're drawn to you making it impossible to avoid touching them.

Great idea. But, I would be very hesitant to crouch down. You're officially at a disadvantage and basically defenseless, if that new pup doesn't want you near him or his owner. I have a GSD And I would never allow someone to do this. If he wants to sniff you, he will close the gap, take a whiff and good look at cha. Then decide if you get that warning bark or a nice opportunity to touch him. GSD are much like the Cane Corso temperament wise and loyalty wise. Just be careful.

Ok, you just cemented my desire to have a Cane Corso of my own. Their temperament seems to be similar to Tibetan Mastiffs', and although I've never had a dog, my parents have a Tibetan Mastiff who is an absolute sweetheart. Of course, before I even try to look for a Cane Corso pup, I will need to educate myself extensively on how to raise a large dog that turns out like Bruce Wayne here... I am in love!!! It's a lot of work, but worth every second of effort to have a gorgeous, well-mannered beast of a companion.

Yeah we had a litter of dogue de bordeauxs, we were sure to place the pups with people who understood most mastiffs were in need of a job. They get very anxious otherwise.

I just adopted a sweet boy that's one and a half. We know the breeder personally, and they had him for the first year of his life. Unfortunately the man that bought him is very sick and can't care for him anymore. We've only had him for 3 days and he's already glued to my side. He's super good with my toddler, and he and my other dog became instant friends. I had researched this breed for years hoping to someday save up enough to buy one, and I hit the jackpot! I can't say enough wonderful things about this sweet goofball.

Love this video! Very detailed and straight to the point. My family and I just took our 6mos old cane Corso along with us on a weekend trip to our families out of town. He was great the first night. There was a bday party going on and it was at night time. He did not bark nor growl at his surroundings or even the people there. He has never met them before as well. He was great with kids like how he is at home with strangers and neighbors. Then, the next day, for some reason, because I went on a trip with my sister's, he was with my husband btw, I heard stories from others saying that my dog is aggressive and not trustworthy and not great with one of their kids. Their daughter was being rough with him by pulling on him, that's what I was told by the mom. She had quoted that others were saying that he was aggressive just because he had growled at one of the adults. This specific adult, this was their first time meeting. Then, on the fourth day, I had witnessed him growling and barked a bit also at that same adult. Now, the adult was just trying to pet him and reached out his hand but our cane was just weary of the adult still. He had treats in his hands and our cane was indecisive as he was grabbing the treats from him. He grabbed the treat also but didnt want to go to that adult much. That adult told me that our dog is growling and barking at him and that's not good as it is leading towards aggression. Another family member had also mentioned that they feel he's aggressive as well but does well with me and my family only and that he has eyes all over my husband aka his dad. I don't think my dog is aggressive. Yes, we still have more training to do. This was his very first time being days away from home. We got home and he rolled himself on the ground happily. He seems guarded and protective from what I understood from others. My question is, with his growling and barking at those he has never seen before nor met, is that deemed aggression? I personally don't think so but what are your thoughts?

my buddy had a cane corso * her name was CODA.... She was beautiful & an amazing dog. She played well with everyone & never gave a problem. I miss her.
