Good job, anytime you end up with lots of willow, if there's a zoo near you, they're always desperate for feeding elephants, im in the trade and have just learned this, it saves time on waste processing and the waste is used 👍👍👍

Good job there , I’ve been and still do hedges mainly on a commercial basis for the last 26years ... the last couple of years my shoulders and joints are starting to ache 🤒... not so bad when working but you do feel it when back home so I do enjoy watching someone else do it .... I love Stihl hedge cutters and that extendable one looks good i must admit .. I’ve also got a few pairs of the tripod ladders which are certainly better than some I’ve used in the past ... keep up the good work 👍😊

Would you consider doing a pricing video? Not the £££ but the calculating of hedge lengths, how height take so much longer and calculating waste. Great work once again Jason ( And Andy )
@royalherbs6 жыл бұрын
Yes im interested on how to work out the costings / profit for one of these. Im still working on an hourly rate and would prefer a job rate but have no idea where to aim the price.
@jamesb88546 жыл бұрын
steve the monkey think about how long it would you take you in hours and multiply by your hourly rate.... it’s that easy! Add on waste tipping costs if any.

Shad Dubé I don’t understand people who want/use a formula. It just complicates things. You and only you knows how long it’s going to take you. IF I had a formula it would be difference to yours as you have different equipment time scales skill etc. If you’re asking questions about pricing you probably shouldn’t be in business.
@Fantax925 жыл бұрын
@@jamesb8854 still agreeing with you, I used to have formulas when I started and modified them fot every type of jobs and everything that might suprise us, but ever since i switched to charging hourly it is all simpler. I know how long every job might take me down to 30mins rounded-up, even the crazy and over complicated one, so you just take that time and multiply it by how much you want to make in an hour.

Damn cyprus looks dense and easy to straigthen, cedar only grows an inch of leaves a year so it is very hard to give it the form you want if the client did not take care of it. Still i'm sorry but your technique is awful, straigthen your kombi and a longer shaft to make it easier on yourself to put the whole hedge straight, also don't use that type of step-ladder, they are dangerous and also impractical.
@Fantax925 жыл бұрын
Also put something under the hedge to help clean it up, so you dont have to rake everything. It really speeds up the whole process
