jason if you cut the side from the ladder top at the top of the hedge you find the sides become more square this how i use to do tall hedges for the nt > then if place a flat plywood small sheet on the bottom of your wood with a set square wood on the side 90 degres with a second plywood sheat you find if the side is leave and the weight of the wood is light with an angle shelf level attach it be faster the nt use a lasser level beam at some site to do the same job faster and more on target which if turn on the leaf of the hedged will make it more leave and faster as you move a long the hedge this best way but the equipment is expensive

Very Good work however i personally do not like to prune a decorative pear with a hedge cutter, i prefer to use secateurs and aim for a more natural look. Customers request i suppose
