Let me start off by saying candy corn is the best candy ever and the autumn mix with the pumpkins is the GOAT. The peanut addition is also amazing. I will eat some for you this season🫶 My question is about neck tite. I had a consult for the neck and my surgeon does the rf with lipo and then a permanent neck suture to secure the muscle. He said it ties up by the ears. I had never heard you mention sutures for the neck tite procedure. Is that what you use? The suture worries me with movement and possible infection. He said it gives a streamlined look to the jaw(I am 34).

yes! Candy corn is the best! It sounds like your surgeon may be proposing a type of thread lift. We do not do thread lifts. I would recommend asking to speak with a previous patient to discuss their experience and to get a better idea of what to expect from this procedure.

Thank you. Do you not do them because you haven’t liked them/found them successful? I joined a fb group to talk about to get opinions but it seems most women aren’t happy with these suture lifts and tell me to just wait for a neck lift down the line.

you've found some smart ladies, that's the exact advice we would give! Additionally, most doctors offering thread lifts are not board certified plastic surgeons.

The whole BMI is tough for those whose weight is based on their muscle mass!

yes, it is! I much prefer a waist to hip ratio calculation as a health marker.

What can be done for banana rolls?
@JasonMartinMD2 ай бұрын
It really depends on the rolls, the goals, and your skin/fat. Thinking of the anatomy of the area is key, if you bend over and touch your toes, how much skin and fat can you pinch in the banana roll area? For most people the answer is, very little if any. A direct excision of the skin you can pinch in a standing position would mean you could not bend over. Removing the fat from the roll can drop the glutes and make the area look much worse and this is very hard to fix. There are some external devices that can provide a very small amount of improvement. In some cases we will add fat to the glutes and hips to smooth the appearance. For now, it's an area (along with the top of the knee) with many complaints and not a lot of answers but we are hopeful technology will continue to improve and offer a meaningful solution!
