Beautiful fish and appreciate all the knowledge you pass on. I am still fishing blind, likely die without ever owning a vexilar that being stated I am attempting to get confident with plastic. Since i fish shallow, 4 to 6', im especially great full for the advice of quivering the plastic. TIGHT LINES ALL

Some of us melted jelly worms in the very early 90's, and sliced them into slivers with a scalpel. I made my first molds in '93/94, but guys like Cy and Joe Moreau had them before that. Triangular section baits that tapered to a whispy point, 1" to 1-1/4" long and 1/8" thick at the head. They worked then and still work today.

I dont have any confidence in plastics. I try a couple times a year, then back to live bait. Yet you can use spoons with nothing, and no problems with plastics. Can you suggest one go to plastic instead of a waxie for jigs? U just suggested 2 in the video. Ill give the macky a try

Why are you not showing the Livescope you used to find where the fish are
@JasonMitchellOutdoors2 күн бұрын
@@BondsIsKing because we didn’t use a Livescope to find them. We sometimes use FFS to find fish but we had to drag a sled a quarter mile down logging trails in the woods to reach this lake so we traveled light and the fish are fairly spooky on a little bit of ice.
@ryansalemi32322 күн бұрын
Yeah we don't use a Livescope, I actually don't even own one. The Vexilar's low power mode is a better tool on these shallow lakes. Livescope can actually send out too strong of signal that spooks these fish in shallower water.

The comments about always jigging it is not accurate... maybe with these heavy jigs they are using... looks to be about a 5mm tungsten.... which is about 10x heavier than what I consider a finesse bite. I've been in a group of guys all with $1200 flashers and me with no electronics. They are packing up and going home because the fish won't bite. I jump in their holes and get one after another with 2.5mm tungsten & 1lb test & The Whip plastics. yes, keep it moving up & down in the water column but stop and hold is still for 5-6 seconds every 6 inches. That is often when they hit it. Also you will catch more fish without electronics.... 14' or less, this time of year they are on the bottom 4' during daylight hour but will raise 1/2 way up to hit. If they are hitting on the drop, that is an aggressive bite and go for it. 8 out of 10 days they will hit it on the rise. I've probably caught 100,000 panfish on plastics... been using The Whip or Joe's original purple hermans since the late '80s. Forget the grubs and be confident in plastics. Take care out there!

Making videos about your opinions and reading comments of others laughing about your opinions is hilarious. Ice fishing isn’t that hard buddy. If all i did was fish i would be bored of that really quick. The only way for these poor slobs to make money is to make videos and convince other people to watch them who do not realize these videos are edited so heavily they fail to realize these guys aren’t pros they just fish all day. I hope you could catch some crappies in the 24 hours of fishing you did to make one video😂😂. Have you written any books or developed new and entirely different ways to ice fish that produce results when replicated or do you just go fishing and say hey guys look im jigging my jig where the flasher tells me there are fish ?😂😂😂😂 Three Stooges on Ice😂😂😂😂
