My best friend also likes racing games but cannot afford a wheel. He lives 20 Km from me so whey I go to see him, Put this tiny wheel in a simple bag with its pedals and drive his home. Install in his table with the sturdiest desk clamp ever and in 2-3 minutes we're driving in Nürburgring like crazy. This simple and easy. And that's not even the purpose of a wheel like this. Its purpose is to be used in those places where you don't have enough space for a cockpit and the desk is too small for a base+wheel. The portability is just an amazing bonus. You won't have an axle broken like happens with Fanatec's CSL DD (because the axle inside the base is half plastic), no moving parts that can break. No force loss due to an engine having to move an axle that connects to a QR that's connected to a wheel. This is a REAL direct drive: the motor moves directly the whole wheel meaning no force lost in intermediate pieces, no intermediate pieces to get damaged...because they don't exist. Compared to a CSL DD (8N/m upgraded) the C5 loses a tiny bit of detail, not a lot but it's there. But in total strength and general use the C5 obliterates the competence. Its only problem comes from the compatibility perspective. EVERYTHING is designed to work perfectly with Logitech and Fanatec. New, old...it is designed to work with them. Cammus is a relatively new brand so most racing games aren't prepared for it. Maybe Cammus should add a compatibility mode with Logitech to ensure that backwards compatibility and push newer games to be compatible with Cammus' hardware.

Yes, I’m pretty sure it’s been changed I bit since then but I still have to do a bit more fine tuning, especially with iracing, I am planning on doing a video showing the settings I use once I’m done but I didn’t want to do it yet because I’m not 100% happy with them

If ordering to the UK I got quoted $250 for the wheel + $70 for shipping to the UK I wanted to ask if this $320 is the total price you pay to have it delivered to the UK or does VAT get added by the courier like with fanatec?

As far as I’m aware it’s only available from them direct currently but if you wait it may come up at distributors soon, can always send an email to them to see if they have an ETA, I haven’t been told any information on that

@@JasonStorm It started being ready to purchase from local warehouses in the beggining of march 2024. VAT included. First by country, by today ALL European Union is part of the local warehouse. And when buying be aware of discount codes. Microsoft Edge looks for discount codes (if configured to do it) and applied 8-9 discount codes that 63€ were discounted for me. So shipping (70€ to Spain) became nearly inexistent. I purchased it on July 2024. Something important to be aware of that many people tend to skip. That shipping was for the whole pack of wheel, table clamp and pedals.

How would you compare to the moza r5? Wanted to grab the R5 but the price point here including shipping is appealing.

I haven’t used the Moza R5 unfortunately but from what I can see online it’s similar to the CSL DD but the benefits of the cammus would be even though both are 5nm the cammus feels more powerful, but the benefit to the moza would be the ability to change wheels and slightly better software however you may find shipping on the cammus is still probably expensive shipping but a little cheaper because of its size and weight

On the way? Have they confirmed this? I ordered and didn't even get a confirmation email. I emailed them to ask if everything was ok and got a reply basically saying "yes". This was last week. Still no official order confirmation or dispatch email. They don't come across as very professional.

@@krime2001 Actually already got it in the mail. They texted me the shipping through DHL. The only email I received was the PayPal receipt. But, I got it, it's actually really solid, and mounts perfectly to the Logitech Playseat.

Depends how you set it up but because the software is a bit more primitive compared to Fanatec’s for instance you do loose a little detail here and there but when compared to other 5nm bases it will feel more powerful so it’s a bit of a trade off but the cammus software should get better with time

@@TrollersJustice No, I ended up getting the vastly superior asetek Tony Kanaan bundle at microcenter for$749. I know that sounds pricey but it's just a reskinned La Prima that costs 1349 plus tax shipping. It's almost a no brainer if you can get to a microcenter and when in stock.
