In most races you make split second decisions sometimes you make them right, sometimes you don't. In this circuit race I was in control the whole time, managing to set up position perfectly for the breakaway. Just the last lap was the one where I missed it.... Ik denk meer een kwestie van net de pech, dat jij wil aangaan op het moment dat de clubman voorbij geschoven komt. En dan gewoon de weg naar de finish te kort is. Volgende keer beter!

I would love to race in Europe since you guys got races everywhere an it so hard the closest I can get to European style of racing is on Zwift. But love working the main group down from 70 to 5-6 guys an once its those number start throwing down some power a few K from the line. But I have to win in a break or solo can't sprint to save my live in some races.

You can open your car door on the VW by gripping the front door handle..The key only needs to be close to the car...that's how it works on my VW Tiguan 😮

Just a matter of somethimes you win sometimes you lose. If you worked together you could have catch them, it is what it is. Nice to see this race from your eyes. It's like 4km from my house. It's a nice lap but that bottum left corner of the track is a tough climp although is does not show like that on camera. Good luck on the next one. Hopefully there is a video comming of the Gravel Fondo Limburg.

Congrats on an amazing race in L’ÉTAPE DENMARK!!! I came in on a surprising 8th place (netto time), and I am over the moon happy! I wanted to ask someone about the depot stops. Someone said they stop time for 3 minutes on some of the depot, if so, how do we know which? Do you know? And did you stop at any depot? Hope to see you on the next finish line 👍

You can see on strava or another analytic software what time you stopped and how long. We only stopped to fill water 3x. At 100, 180, 227 Great job mate!

@jasperverkuijl do you do any of your training on the turbo trainer, or is it all outside? I find training outside, you lose power / strength on the turbo when you come back, but the other way around, it carries over to outside. Much prefer being outside though, as its very hilly here.

@@justjase1576 mostly outside. But I do both. Couldn’t care less about the actual watts on the indoor trainer as outside is what matters. I depends on your possibilities outside where you can properly train or not

With normal wind how much Watts do you need to maintain 50 km/h alone? Also how do you get to 50 km/h do you hold a constant Watts number that gets you to 50 km/h slow Or do you sprint to get to 50 km/h fast and than maintain that wattage?

The mistakes were leaving too much space when rotating to the back, like at 23m07s and then 24m17s. Also: you guys just weren't strong enough to close the gap. Happens. Most of the times there's several riders that are just better, that's life. Also: old man shouting at clouds here, but I find it kind of too much to even have the nutrition on an app. Like come on, how did guys in the past even finish races, no apps, no calorie-counting. How low can you go?!

Ever since doping was cracked down on, even the top teams are all following TJV's approach which means personal nutrition is very much a thing. Now, for amateurs, certainly those competing in Sunday races, it's perhaps 'over the top' if you think it's just for performance. But I think people who use it aren't trying to push their performance to the max, it's more about committing to the lifestyle. And let's just start with: there is nothing wrong it trying to live the most healthy lifestyle, as long as it doesn't impede with other things. And I don't think having an app to monitor your nutrition equates to having an eating disorder... unless you're dependent on the app.

@@jasperverkuijl I don't know, man. I don't need to constantly tell my 12s what I'm eating and it doesn't tell me what and when I should eat. It doesn't even tell my when I should shift, but maybe one day, I can input in an app that I fell my cadence is not good and then the app will do the shifting for me.
