How do you record so much video during a race? Do you change batteries during the race or use a power bank? How much power do you think you lose during the race due to video recording? I love your videos! 😉🤘🏻❤

Super nice race/video. Full speed! What tire width and Pressure are you running Jasper? Regarding bottle cage on Gravel. Specialized Ribcage 2 in plastic should do the trick. - Also tested on Swedish Rockgarden..

Gravel snobbery is so daft. For a sport founded on no rules and freedom, there seems to be a lot of so called rules. To my mind, gravel is simply not road, but not so rough that it is XC. And without obstacles and a short course that would make it cyclo-cross. Simple.

In appearance Winspace does everything correct, but there is no reason to trust them. When completing research on Chinese graduate degrees, from Grad to Post graduate the rate of plagiarism hovered at 90 %, field relative. So the top level management cannot be trusted. Now let’s get serious- I am recovering from a foot surgery, dislocated foot bone, July 2024. A new TOP well know Pro grade shoe, the S Works Pro Torch, orange color the Left last had a slight factory deformation, wrong cavity. The right was fine. A few mm. And the shoe hole over the cleat lacked padding, The Brand replaced the shoes twice, same defect. 10 rides, 400 kms, 250-350 watts, shoes returned and they sent me a 3d pair, white. The whites, as my other S Works Toech, whites had the expected performance and design, but were made and stamped by a different shift or team. Continued to train hard through 2024, but had a lingering left foot pain from that Orange shoe thing. October 2024 we found the cause- dislocated toe, surgery needed. Done 10 days ago. The left shoe gap was right about the metatarsal and toe line so one went down the other stayed up each stroke.. long story short, the manufacturers digging revealed that the Chinese factory made unapproved molds to accelerate shoe production, and any Left shoe last in my 42.5 could not be true to ergonomic and curvature design. As if not enough, bike radar found a similar issue on Bont shoes- which I also briefly owned and returned- due to random last curvature variations. So the conclusion is, buyer beware. the science and engineering may be superb, but the Chinese factory execution, on the floor, garbage. As if not enough, I near,y had two crashes with a Colnago V3RS as, we found out months into ownership, the front hangar brackets were drilled and mounts incorrectly. The derailleur angle and height were off and the incorrect top tube drilling did it- at the factory in china. yes, new frame V4RS coming as Colnago admitted the issue. Specialized S Works SL7 introduced a variable front hangar brackets so they do not have to return frames. But reviews confirms issues with brake hump mounts being uneven etc. so the conclusion is Taiwan manufactured bikes are superb, from management education to execution. Chinese mainland execution is a lottery gamble that may or may not land you in surgery. Winspace is no different. And for those wishing to rebut me , when Hambini mentioned trying the Winspace carbon spoke rims, I cautioned him against catastrophic failure. which happened and he documented that . He is still with us and reviewing but his crash was attributable to poor Winspace design and product high risk of catastrophic failure.

Jasper, leuk om de beelden te zien. Ik was toevallig die dag ook aanwezig, en het parcours was echt mega snel! En wat doe je om te voorkomen dat de camera zakt?

For the bottle cage, go for an aluminum. Thin carbon holders flex too much. Aluminium is less affected by this. You can also bend aluminum a little so that your bottle is even tighter. Carbon is a few grams lighter. But think drinking is more important.
@jasperverkuijl4 күн бұрын
Yep that could work. I used plastic cages that have never given issues (on road) but had other (plastic) cages with a tighter fit and those work well 👍🏻

Why would you not use a Fidlock? They are incredible at locking on and staying in place.
@jasperverkuijl4 күн бұрын
I rode a bike once with fidlock. Most annoying bottles I have experienced. Also, it’s not practical as you can never take any other bottle. In races sometimes you rotate 6 bottles so you’d need to have all of them with the system… and you throw them away at the feedzone, bye bye expensive bottles.

WHAT IS GRAVEL??? DISCUSS HERE! 👇
@XXXENOWRAITHXX4 күн бұрын
If you look at the majority of races it could be "all-road" or "all-path" or "mostly-not-road". I hate the term gravel as to me gravel is thick river rock rural roads that you really shouldn't ride any bike on.
@MaartendeJager4 күн бұрын
I kinda look at it as a 3-4 hour cx race without the obstacles.

if its not tarmac/paved... then its gravel racing imo. ... plus i need that camera! lol
@manfrommontreal4 күн бұрын
Gravel is everything that's not paved or cobbled! 🎉
Its compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for portability, suitable for bicycle trips or any other excursion. While not recommended for transporting bulky tools such as a quarter-gigantic torque wrench, its small size and light weight allow for convenient carriage in a pouch or bag.
@ivanjednobiegowiec76566 күн бұрын
I second condition dependency of hot waxed chain usable time. 836km on road with dry to lightly wet conditions, around 160-170km in heavy mud and grit off road. Still worth it. For me the most important is drivetrain cleanliness. No black, oily mark on the legs, hands and wherever else...
