Just wanted to make a quick clarification. Suzie was actually the one who had control over her daughter’s phone during the time Lionmaker requested nudes from the 13-year-old. This is a detail I didn't realize until after my video went up, and as a result, I was unnecessarily cruel to her for just trying to do what was right for her child. I take full responsibility for not doing the proper research and apologize for mischaracterizing that aspect of the story, it was absolutely a mistake on my end and I would like to resolve it. I hope this pinned comment can suffice as a decent explanation and apology for what I did. Thanks for reading this far and I hope you can forgive me.

Only brilliant because now we're working backwards with knowledge no one had at that point. That sort of slimy questioning that's designed to put you on edge and not answer because it's clearly a loaded question asking what you just answered, but also make you look guilty for not answering, is one of the worst "journalistic" practices out. People hate Piers Morgan for making it his bread and butter, people only like it here because accusing someone of paedophilia is one of those trial by gut things where people assume the accused is guilty because saying anything else could get the finger pointed at them too, and because we have hindsight. Its like all that JCS true crime interrogations where people think they're geniuses because they're seeing the 1 time in 10 that the answers the questioning are designed to get were supported by evidence.

As a victim of grooming and abuse who was blamed by my parents instead of protected by them, I continue to struggle to not feel like it was my fault in some capacity. For most of my life, I actually felt like I was fully at fault and that the abuse I was subjected to (the inappropriate relationship, sexual exploitation, blackmail, suicide threats, etc) was some kind of valid consequence that I deserved. It made me feel so worthless and shameful. I also felt responsible for protecting these predators. But seeing KZbinrs I would have looked up to at that age passionately, viciously, and unapologetically call this behavior out as abusive and disgusting and criminal truly helps me. I can’t tell you how much it helps me. It feels so validating. It feels like my inner child finally has someone standing up for her ❤️

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Some people don't deserve the right to call themselves parents. Victim-blaming is always done for a reason. It's how people manipulate those who were hurt by something into staying quiet so that those who perpetrated the act can get away scot-free. Your 'parents' victim-blaming you was just a way for them to put all the fault on you. They didn't protect you, and they didn't want to own up to that, so they tried to make it out like you were the one in the wrong to absolve themselves of blame. You are not in the wrong about what happened to you. You never were. Your 'parents' failed you in every possible way. They, along with those who exploited and hurt you, are the ones to blame. They chose to do what they did knowing full well how it would hurt you. No excuses. You are not at fault for that.

Honestly, that interview was infuriating to watch. I'm grateful for it existing, because it really did put the nail in the coffin for lionmaker, but MAN. There were times when I wanted to throttle him through the screen. Like, huge chunks of time where he just rambled and ranted about shit that had nothing to do with the question, and then he'd get irritated when clown would just 'ok so now that you're done, let's actually answer what I asked'. Just...UGH.

Yeah he has really good philosophical instincts and knows his way around an argument. I actually thought TRO didn't do his line of argumentation justice. After colossal reframed the question to be about a hypothetical relationship between himself and a 16 year old, and asked LM for a judgment on that, the reason LM refused to answer is because colossal backed him into a corner in which either answer would undermine his position: If LM said it WASNT messed up, then he would be exhibiting moral deviance by having that opinion. If LM said it WAS messed up, he would be admitting to being morally deviant by having done the thing in question himself. It was a really good line of argumentation by colossal. It was where colossal won the argument, and that's how he won it. If you watch the original video colossal opens the video with this specific interaction for that reason. I like TRO but sometimes he indulges too much in the tiny details.

@@yesterdayitrained I feel like some sort of deity or saint of patience had to have possessed Colossal, because I don't know a single person who could have done that interview so calmly. I imagine a lot of it was just Colossal giving Lion more rope to hang himself with- because WOW. I can see no other reason he'd sit there listening to drivel for so long. And then to ask the perfect hypothetical to corner Lion later. There was no answer he could give there where he came out looking good. If it was wrong for Clown to be with a teen girl, Lion was wrong for it. If it's fine to Lion, well he looks like a gross scumbag. And then he tried to play the 'well the context tho' game, and just grabbed a drill to dig at the rock bottom position he'd gotten into.

I used to watch lion maker religiously. I found his channel in July 2014 and he was my favourite mine craft KZbinr. When the allegations came out in September 2015 I was only 9 and didn’t really understand what he was being accused of so I carried on watching his videos. In December 2015 my mum who had become concerned about the amount of mine craft KZbinrs being accused of pedophilla banned me from watching him but didn’t explain why other than saying “I don’t think he’s a good man” she unsubscribed me from his channel and was making sure I wasn’t viewing his videos. I remember watching the interview by colossal in November 2016 and after doing it I asked my mum what lion maker had done. She explained in a way which was appropriate for a 10 year old to hear but i got the jist. It’s horrifying to think that I used to look up to him.

Just feel you mischaracterized her quite a bit, when based of the article cited (6:46) , she had actually taught her daughter quite well about online safety, enough to where her daughter was aware of a bad situation and went to an adult immediately. I feel she handled teaching her daughter quite well, teens should be able to have privacy and parents should be able to trust that they have taught their kids enough for them to make good judgments on their own accord. UK here. I HATE that he used the 16 year consent law to justify his actions. Yes the age of consent is 16. No one 18+ dates 16 year olds. It's creepy and comes off as grooming. That lower consent law is more for the 16-18 range as they transition into "adult life" being allowed to leave school, get full-time work, and sign legal papers. NOT for creeps to groom children. Just because it's "legal" doesn't mean you aren't perverted.

I was under the impression that it’s still illegal for an over-18 to have sex with an under-18, even if said under-18 is over 16, under British paedophilia law (or whatever law that comes under). In a normal relationship, say a 17-year-old with an 18-year-old, in the same year at school or whatever, that crosses the boundary, you’d simply never be prosecuted because it wouldn’t be in the public interest, even though it’s technically illegal.

@@smee6969what I said previously was based on what I have always been told, including in sex-ed. That said, I may well be wrong, but it doesn’t change the fact that in a normal relationship, regardless of actual legality, prosecution would be highly unlikely, due to the lack of public benefit in prosecuting an 18-year-old for being in a relationship with a 17-year-old. A 20+ year-old dating a 16-year-old is hella questionable, though, even if it’s legal.

Yup, I don't know how many time I've heard of kids almost cutting contact because they're begining to feel really uncomfortable only for the shitbag to hit them with "I'm so depressed 🥺" "your the only person who cares about me" "honestly without you I would probably kms". Just garbage manipulating the inherent empathy of CHILDREN.

@@sarahamira5732 I knew someone who did this to young girls and then laugh to rest of us about how manipulative he was and how he had them around his finger.
