I was ignoring him thinking oh "his clinically damaged brain is amplified by bad environment"... until I learnt about the Italy drama, the Crypto, and tried his Impaulsive Podcast. Time to put him into the burning stake again and for good this time, maybe call the SEC, IRS, and FBI on the crypto thing to nail the coffin too. He took a "sick in the head" excuse and ran with it. I don't wanna know what he'd do with a full brain.

Logan missed what made Jackass so funny. It wasn’t simply cause Steve-o and Johnny were jackasses who made scenes, it was cause they only tormented EACH OTHER The moment he started terrorizing innocent bystanders, he lost any and all credibility, respect and decency

the jackass guys absolutely 'terrorised innocent bystanders.' the toilet store prank, the party boy pranks and rented car stunt are just a few off the top of my head that all involved people outside of their crew. stfu with this re-writing of history. they were all jerks to literally everyone and they're arguably just as bad as the paul brothers.

Logan gives off genuine sociopath vibes. He may not be intentionally malicious, but he clearly has no remorse or understanding for how his actions affect others.
@Raptorman0909

About 4% of the public are sociopaths while 1% are the even worse psychopath -- Logan and Jake and apparently the entire Paul family are textbook psychopaths in my view. Did he just find out about the suicide forest or was that the entire purpose of the trip? His inability to process things that others find ghoulish, his apparent lack of affect in such situations just reinforce the determination that he and his family are psychos...

The pokemon and yelling at strangers thing was a bigger issue for me than the s-cide forest. The fact that those kids cheered at Logan confirming he was "fine" (I put that in quotation marks because there's no way a human being can be fine on a mental level and still pull that kind of stunt), in spite of the more eminently reasonable reaction being a stunned, shocked silence as they process what just took place that quickly turns to rage and disgust upon realizing what he just did, really goes to show the kind of power influencers have over the young, taking advantage of their gullibility and vulnerability.

There should be a "past controversy" list for every single creator (heck probably celebrity too), with counters that explain how long has it been since a certain incident. That way people could look at pewdipie for example and see ah, he did questionable things but that was years ago (or maybe not forgive him, that's fine too it's your choice), and at the same time look at the paul brothers and see hmm that's a lot of scams, not sure I can trust these guys.

What makes me mad is how he keeps scamming and grifting his audience and he doesn't even NEED too!! He already has more money than he could ever spend in his lifetime and yet he still lies and scams his audience. He's just CHOOSING to be a bad person just because he can now. Because cancelation is 90% times not a thing. Bunch of people might get angry, write some Twitts and comments, and after a week or so nobody remembers. It only works when the outrage is big enough to outweight whatever profits a corporation gains from its creator. That's why you can find creators breaking TOS on various platforms. The only other way of canceling someone is by targeting their audience. The problem is that problematic creators gather fans who are ready to excuse bad behaviour. Ironicallly those who act 95% good but make one mistake are more likely to be canceled than those who act 95% of time like assholes
@DriscolDevil
@DriscolDevil Жыл бұрын
Because canceling is just a buzz word people use to pretend to be victims when people online criticize them. Nothing happened to him, so why would he do anything different? He's just going to keep doing the thing that continues to make him money and fame. Look at how popular Tate is now in prison compared to when he was mass "canceled" by people that were never his target audience. This problem is solved by jail time at the very least. The "canceling" is just free press.

I used to babysit my cousins every day after school. And of course, we'd watch Logan's new vlogs. At the time I found them funny enough and the kids liked them even more. So imagine my surprise when I get back from making them a snack and find my 7 and 11 year old cousins staring at the screen in absolute horror as Logan laughs in front of a dead body. Thankfully, the youngest moved on from it quickly but the oldest is almost an adult and still talks about how traumatizing it was. My nephew was 7 when that Japanese forest scandal happened. He watched both the Pauls all the time. It really made me think for the first time at how radically children's entertainment had changed in the span of a few years. I'm only 11 years older than him and most of my media consumption at that age came from Disney Channel, Cartoon Network etc. where every show was (mostly) made by a professional team with passion, and was quality controlled to make sure nothing horrendous was being fed to children. I know every generation has its pitfalls, but damn, I'm really scared for the younger gen z kids if the Pauls, SSSniperwolf etc. were the people they idolised, and tbh partly raised them, growing up, especially since they can pretty much post anything they want with little consequence.

Jordan Belfort, the wolf of wall street, said his biggest mistake was not doing it legitimately bc even if it took longer he would have ended up as rich as he was without it falling apart. Yet since his "comeback" he has tried shilling worthless crypto and do other sketchy things. The problem with people like this, including Logan, is that they are unable to stop as long as they have the ability to try. Logan even said it himself that it's just a game at a certain point. No money is enough money bc it doesn't come from a place of need for finances, it comes from somewhere darker. It's like an addiction. Greed, impatience, and either psychopathy or extreme ability to rationalize makes them always fall back to it if they have any reason to believe they can get away with it. Most of the richest people are awful human beings, because to do what you need to be that successful and take that much money from others requires you to care about nothing but that success. Some just got away with it better or have enough wherewithal for self preservation. Logan just happens to be in an industry that has many others to call him out (eventually) but also seems to know where to push the line; for now.

It's kinda a shame his redemption (or what seemed like redemption at the time) was, at best, short-lived, and at worst, an act. When he seemed to show some level of maturity and awareness and even spoke up on social justice, I had some sliver of respect for his growth. Sure, many folks (myself included) can't truly forgive what he did in Japan. But just because someone isn't forgiven doesn't mean they can't change for the better. And I try to at least respect and acknowledge that someone is trying to be better. But the truth always comes out eventually. And of course, Logan didn't hesitate to show his true colors once again with all this crypto scamming bullshit. Maybe Logan could fool people into thinking he was changing once, but that won't work for a second time. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. He was on thin-ice before, only staying afloat because he was able to convince enough people he was changing. I know I'll never be able to see him as anything more than a scamming, grifting, exploitative piece of shit again. A second chance is a shot at redemption, but you won't get a second chance for redemption.

I think for a lot of people it was less consciously giving him a second chance and more him persistently sticking around but seemingly showing gradual improvement, and wanting to believe that someone like him can genuinely change for the better, even if they still didn't like him or still considered his past actions unforgivable. I think when someone seems to be showing progress, a lot of people just want to believe in the possibility that people can grow and don't want to set a bad precedent by shooting down someone's supposed efforts at self-improvement. Not everyone gets the benefit of the doubt like he did, and he squandered the gift of people being willing to hear him out completely

The race podcast fooled even me. And then he decided to move to my island (Puerto Rico) and disrespect my people. As Dana commented, he is irredeemable. The reason is simple: we, and I include myself and pretty much everyone who doesn't like him, have allowed all these bad actors to get famous. We keep them famous by creating content about him, by talking about him, by hate watching (something I will never understand unless you are a content creator making a video on him). Then again, creating content about him is a double edged sword. We need to know how bad a person is but bad publicity is still publicity. This is very well done by the way.

In reality, the forest DOES see those kinds of incidents, but it should be better known as the natural wonder that it is. I wanna go there someday, it's an old-growth forest at the base of Mt. Fuji that's stunning and remarkably safe. Logan went off the clearly marked paths I'm pretty sure, which is indeed dangerous and a thing that most guides will tell you not to do. SA allegations, major scams, being generally disruptive to the people around them, etc. They have more than proven that they are not deserving of any more chances. When somebody tells you who they are, you should believe them. Regardless though, being given a second chance and being forgiven are different things. Forgiveness is what you get when you make amends with the people that you have harmed and/or insulted, and is not something that you are entitled to, but rather something the victim can offer if they feel they are ready to offer it. A second chance is simply a chance to do better, but doing better does not entitle you to forgiveness because forgiveness is about your past actions, not your present ones. Even if you make better decisions in the future, your past actions still have consequences on somebody else's future, so forgiveness is for the sake of the victim, not the perpetrator.

To want to genuinely change. And at some point enough time passes where it's so incredibly difficult, almost unthinkable to walk it back. 30+ years in.... how could you possibly undo that? How could you uproot your entire being, your way of thinking, your way of life, everything; when you really believe there never is a good enough reason to? Change takes SO MUCH effort. Patience. Most people don't have that to begin with in their day to day life. Most importantly, humility. To be able to admit that you were *wrong* is... lmao. Most people aren't willing to do that because of pride, emotional immaturity, etc. I know Logan will never change. He's too far gone. Nothing short of someone he cares about deeply dying in some horrific way will be enough to phase him now. Even then grief is temporary and doesn't guarantee enormous life changes. My mother lost her children due to her pride and disgusting lack of empathy and still refuses to change because rather than critically think and reflect on her actions, she blames everyone else around her. My family taught me firsthand that some people on this earth are destined to *never* change and *never* learn a single lesson in their entire time on this planet. Let's all just enjoy the clown show that is Logan until his story inevitably ends in tragedy.

It’s really interesting seeing Logan Paul’s younger self. Before he was as unhinged, funny enough.

He started with harassing minimum wage employees and random people. Dude was always a psychopath. His parents must be real pieces of work behind closed doors.

And the sad part is... even now he is in our faces... thanks, WWE... And he was born on April Fool's Day? Why do I feel that alone is a mouthful to deal with already?

I genuinely feel *embarassed* watching Logan running around Japan like an absolute buffoon and being borderline disrespectful to a country that likely already believes all Americans tourists are like this.

Johnny Somali, who was probably influenced by Logan Paul, did it this year. Another American KZbinr followed suit with a nuisance act of riding the Shinkansen bullet train in Japan without paying. A second and third Logan Paul has already come to Japan. It is interesting to note that all of these annoying streamers and KZbinrs are American so far, although the Japanese may not think that all American tourists are these kinds of people. There must be something culturally American about this.

I’ll admit, it’s impressive how long Logan has stayed in the pseudo limelight, but like a soulless corpse, he can never change

It's absolutely wild that he has had this many chances. It's a shame too because he has a lot going for him. If he just cut the shenanigans he would be just fine, but he can't help himself. Probably needs more people around him that are willing to say: "This is incredibly stupid, don't be a dumb@$$".

Yes, especially as he was waltzing around Tokyo, seemingly thinking the world was his playground. The forest incident was probably not even negotiated before the filming
