The concept of being 'poor' is subjective, in the West, we have been sold the idea that happiness is tied to being surrounded by material things.
@HumanRights-e7p6 күн бұрын
Poverty often correlates with significant hardships, including malnutrition, limited opportunities, and vulnerability to crises. While people may find joy in their circumstances, it doesn't mean they wouldn't benefit from improved living conditions and economic stability.

📍Somewhere on Earth is off to Malawi, in southern Africa. This little-known country, overshadowed by its larger neighbors Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia, is one of the poorest places on Earth. Malawi, a land of plains and highlands, is also home to an immense lake that covers 20% of its territory. Gaspar, 27 years old, is the proud owner of an amazing, one-of-a-kind guitar. He earns his living thanks to his instrument and his passion for music. Now, after 11 years on the road, he’s on his way back to his native village. Freddie’s realm is the sky. This young Dane grew up in Tanzania and learned how to fly in South Africa. Freddie, always ready for adventure, loves Africa and is now a full-fledged bush pilot.

@Mz - This video was about being economically poor; it was not about people being SEEMINGLY happy. If everyone were so happy in African nations, you wouldn’t have so many fleeing, sometimes via dangerous waters on overloaded boats, or desiring to flee to the West. "Burkina Faso, one of the poorest places on earth"; "Mali, one of the poorest places on earth"; "Niger, one of the poorest places on earth"; "Malawi, one of the poorest places on earth", etc...Until the word got out that these places have mineral resources such as gold, uranium that the West has been quietly exploiting with little compensation paid to those countries (BF, Mali, Niger). Soon, I bet we will also hear that "Malawi, one of the poorest places on earth", is, in fact, rich with copper, gold, and other mineral resources which Great Britain, the former(?)colonial power has been quietly exploiting with little or no compensation at all. Put aside those nonsensical statistics from the WB, and the IMF, look at the Malawians and ask if you can help. If you could not, or would not, then leave them alone instead of stigmatising whole countries.

By the way being rich is defined according to the colonizers' terms - money, brick houses (mansions), buying processed and GMO filled food from grocery stores, access to electricity and recycled sewerage water, driving cars, having tarred roads, attending school learning from the colonizers' curriculum, having a 9 to 5 job - which is enslavement, having hospitals/clinics that destroy people's health with drugs, etc. These people live a sustainable life which is in harmony with nature. So, video creator you're wrong - these are not poor people but one of the richest people in the world
