I was 15 back in 78 when this song hit. We couldn´t believe such a soulful voice was coming from a white cat. It told us that anybody could have soul. This song became probably my favorite r&b song ever. Still love it, still as fresh 36 years later.

In Loving Memory of my cousin Steve Eidson who past away April 6,2020. Steve played with the famous Bobby Caldwell and he was a remarkably gifted and talented musician. He taught himself to play the Hammond B3 organ in High School because he was inspired by the great Mose Alison. He entertained all of us who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace Cousin Eidson, you're finally home. Hope my Dad was there to greet you when you arrived.

I was 17 back in 78 when this song came out. I loved it then and it’s only gotten better with time. Bobby in this live performance still sounding great after so many years. It’s all about taking care of that voice and Bobby seem to have done just that. So much great music and artists from that era. I feel so blessed to have been there to enjoy it in real time. Bobby Caldwell!’s passing is such a shocked . He passed away at the age of 71. Bobby’s vocals are so smooth and sexy on this track , it makes you want to play it over and over again. This song is still part of my DJ music collection . R.I.P. Bobby Caldwell

I was born in 88 .. my father played this song daily until his passing and I Always thought it was a Motown artist or what not. But to me it's beautiful he has a beautiful voice I've been listening to it since i was a lil girl
