I was 15 back in 78 when this song hit. We couldn´t believe such a soulful voice was coming from a white cat. It told us that anybody could have soul. This song became probably my favorite r&b song ever. Still love it, still as fresh 36 years later.

In Loving Memory of my cousin Steve Eidson who past away April 6,2020. Steve played with the famous Bobby Caldwell and he was a remarkably gifted and talented musician. He taught himself to play the Hammond B3 organ in High School because he was inspired by the great Mose Alison. He entertained all of us who knew and loved him. I was pregnant with my first child in 1979 and had insomnia all through my 8th month. But as soon as this song would come on the radio late at night, it lulled me into the most peaceful sleep, and I can't hear it now without thinking of my firstborn and only girl. This man's voice.
