You and your family are really adventurous entrepreneurs. The camping store in the mall is my thing. It's like the Bass Pro shop here in Alberta, Canada. Seeing you into sightseeing, camping, and adventurous tourism, a tour of the Canadian rockies would be good, like the Banff gondola, upper hot springs, and the Calgary Stampede. My wife and I are West Demerara, Essequibo islands folks. We tour Paramaribo before moving to Canada. It's the kind of thing my wife introduced me to here in Alberta 14 years ago.

Paramaribo is also larger tho so there are multiple entertainment centers for people to do things. But you're right, it's not as crowded and the downtown is dying sadly. People prefer to shop and do things in their own neighborhoods. And it also depends on the time of the day he was on the street. Because on Sundays people go out of town.

My family is from Mahaica and Georgetown. Family name : Kirton and Piggott. My grandfather' s name Oscar Hilton Kirton. He had boys and all of them are named Oscar. I have no idea what we as Surinamese do better than Guyanese/Guyana and in terms of what. I can only say that in Suriname we have strict laws when it comes to littering and really good public awareness. Right now, the government is experimenting with a new waste management system that focuses on separating waste at source in Paramaribo.

The Guyanese mindset needs to upgrade. I can’t see why we as Guyanese can’t help keep our country clean we all depend on government to do so. Guyanese needs to do their part to make Guyana look like Suriname

In Suriname there are special workers who work for the government who clean the big cities such as Nieuw-Nickerie and Paramaribo every morning. In addition, there are workers who maintain the trees and verges. Garbage is collected 3 times a week. Polluting the environment is punishable in Suriname. Garbage bins can be found everywhere and are emptied regularly. We have workers who walk allong the treets to collect garbage.

We do have oil. Matter of fact, we have our own oil refinery and we sell Diesel to Guyana.

We do have oil and a better deal than Guyana. We have oil onshore and offshore. We produce oil onshore for years. (Sinds 1980) We have a modern state oil company, is 100% of Suriname 🇸🇷. We call the company, "Staatsolie Suriname". (You can google it) It produces, at the moment, 17.000 barrels oil per day (onshore.)
