I just got the .25 cal 52 grain solid slugs from Griffin. They are boat rail and just barely fit is my Hatsan Bully magazine. They just got here today and I am looking forward to trying them out.

Man I ordered 200 of these griffin slugs the deep hollow base. Shot them in my Kral NP03 they shoot so flat, I got two birds from 50+ yards. Only thing is I wish they were a lil cheaper.

Hey there, if one was using a Remington .257 Roberts barrel on a fairly powerful (not super powerful) pcp, which type would you recommend? Keep in mind this barrel has a Twist Rate of 1:10" Many thanks.

love the video man! i wouldnt mind seeing a deer ready .30 super tiny hollow point. how have slugs been without any point? my gun should do 830fps at 44gr. Evanix semi auto
@griffinairgunammo75184 жыл бұрын
In .30 cal we only have hollow points. But we do have a .25 cal round tip with no hollow point and the difference is big. Slugs with no hollow point penetrate much deeper then hollow points.

Dish base work good at what speeds and will they work good in a choked polygon barrel in .25 I have a70 fpe gun give or take
@griffinairgunammo75183 жыл бұрын
Well speed is relative the way the speed is made is the important part. Higher reg pressure usually produces better accuracy at higher speed. I find that 930 fps is a easy speed to tune for in most high power airguns. The faster you try to go the more precise and stable the tune needs to be to get good accuracy. As far as the slugs shooting in a poly barrel with a choke they should work fine. What rifle are you useing?

How do those hollow base rebated boat tails work with higher speeds?
@griffinairgunammo75184 жыл бұрын
They have done well for me up to 1000fps. They are a little better balanced then a normal boat tails wich makes then nice for standard pellet barrels.

I would go with a 52 to 54 grain dish base. Or a 48 to 50 grain flat base LDC they are better for hunting and are bigger in length for there weight.

@@griffinairgunammo7518 thanks I ordered some of your 10 grain .177 pellets off eBay. I work up in Alaska and I'm curious as to how they will handle our snow shoe hairs and beavers. Got quite few friends with hunting channels so I'll spread the word to them. Been working on a sub 300 dollar slug gun build if these work I'll suggest them.

What would you recommend for a .22 rifle that claims to shoot 15gr at 1300fps or 34gr at 980fps? Planning on doing some varmint shooting and turkey shooting.
@griffinairgunammo75184 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a power house do you know what twist rate the barrel is? And how far are you tring to shoot? The goal is to have a slug that has a GS (gyroscopic stability factor) of at least 1.5 or better so the best bc can be achieved. This is less important at shorter ranges if you just need the added power of a heavy slug. The common twist rates in .22 are 1/17.7 , 1/16 and 1/15 (fx slug liner A). The 1/16 and 1/15 twist will stabilize an 34gn slug fine if you have a 1/17.7 I would go with a 30gn flat base or dish base. At that kind of power LDC slugs are not needed unless you really want instant explosive expansion. 30gn dish base should be a safe bet for most barrels these are available in .217 and .218 if you already know what your gun likes.
@AlbeeSoaring4 жыл бұрын
@@griffinairgunammo7518 Ill have the rifle in hand monday. Ill find out the twist rate for sure and let you know. Id like to be looking at 100 yard and closer. Im going to be checking it with different weight pellets and slugs to see if it truly hits the stated speeds or if thats just a little exaggeration. It is externally adjustable also. You might know more about it then me. Its a AEA Challenger .22 Bullpup.
@griffinairgunammo75184 жыл бұрын
@@AlbeeSoaring oh okay cool I have been looking at those. We have been get people that are ordering slugs for them but we have not gotten any feedback yet. At 100 stability wont be a huge deal as far as optimal bc goes it will make a difference but not dramatically. If you where going for 250 and beyond it will make a big difference getting the perfect slug. If you order from us send us a message I'll keep an eye out and try to throw you in a few extras to try out. I like to help out the guys that give feedback because it helps us with making a data base to help others when they ask. Hopefully it has a 1/16 twist that will do good with heavier slugs. Keep me posted I'm interested in the aea guns myself.

i have a condor wanting to use it for coyote 60-70 yd what slug would you use
@griffinairgunammo75184 жыл бұрын
My favorite is the 44gn to 48gn cup base XL hollow point. They shoots accurate and hit really hard. If you want a heavier slug the 60gn RBT xl hp is very accurate also, and will generate over 120 foot pounds in stock condor. Here is a link to the xl hp cup base griffinairgunammo.com/collections/250-slugs/products/griffin-slugs-25-caliber-250-xl-hollow-point-cup-base-33-53-grain-100-ct
