Just started playing this game a couple days ago and I’m absolutely in love. The shield and the spear are my favorite weapons rights now. I can beat the bone hydra easily but now elysium is whooping my ass.

It’s crazy how much there is to this game and that it keeps being interesting and fun even after so many escape attempts. I’m currently at about 35 attempts, defeated Hades twice, but feel like I’m only getting started. And I almost gave up playing after about 2 hours.

I died or purpose 30 times in the first room to "advance" the story to get the Guan Yu aspect. As you said, I was in the middle of a quest so Achilles talked about other things. After the 30 runs, all people in the House of Hades had no more dialogues, everyone was like "Hey Zag, whats up!", I did 10 additional runs and still I did not receive the dialogue about Guan Yu. I had spent 7 blood in other aspects (Nemesis, Chiron, Talos, Chaos) and still was getting the same dialogue from Achiles. Finally decided to spend one more blood and bought the Achilles aspect, the very next time Achilles talked about Guan Yu. Just wanted to share my experience from this week. I don't think it's convoluted at all, so much as there's dialogue priorities. Example being the main story > all. So if you escaped to progress the actual story can limit the options for side quests, and inverse that if you died so story doesn't have a progression tick it means a side story can pop. Add into that side stories having priorities as well means one side story can supersede another.

Fun bug that a found : Invested 5 blood on Shields and Chaos wont trigger the dialogue for Beowulf , instead Nix gave me the line for Arthur , regardless the fact that I invest only 1 blood on Swords.

If you're kinda stuck with the game (Namely Hades), I suggest try Eris Rail + Zeus attack (Make sure to get jolt on Zeus and dash on Poseidon too) It is by far the most OP and easy build in this game that it can makes you faceroll everything in this game. Other weapons are WAYYY harder to master. (Holy Sword is good too but only in lower Heat level.) Another good easy to play op build is Charion bow build + Crit special.

Alright, so I got to the Satyr hangout and well... let's just say, I haven't played in weeks. Instead! I'm finally playing through Blasphmeous on Switch and loving it. Maybe I'll come back to Hades. I've been playing casually since it released on xbox, fully expecting the game to more or less dry up once I had cleared Hades a few times but damn, with these heats and everything it's like I'm only just getting started. I love it. The way they figured out how to make a roguelike where you repeat the same runs over and over (but obviously with infinite number of different builds to work with) make sense in the narrative and even provide compelling storytelling even after 30, 40, 50+ runs is just genius. I really love this game. Nyx is obviously my favorite character ever so I wanted to give her ambrosia first but I seem to have hit a wall. No more dialogue from her, can't give her anymore nectar or ambrosia, not really sure what her quest for me is supposed to be. Something about a chaos gate?

You might be done with her honestly. Keep giving ambrosia to other characters. Sometimes that can open up new things!

Yes nyx continuation story relates to Chaos, so probably you can start by befriending Chaos during your runs and give chaos some Nectars

Noice videos. yeah in my experience, Asterius provides the chant even though I was using a lance weapon against him. So it's not required to use fists when talking to him.

I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. What you say about the other characters dialogue/quests stalling this progress makes sense. "Super convoluted." I mean, it sounds like it's just, spend the time to get all the necessary resources spent, and then talking to them over and over till they give the right quest, then complete that, then talk/resource again, and you get it.

The thing is this game is built around you beating the game again and again and again to get the plot. I already spent a good 70 hrs on this game yet I still got so many npcs' dialogues. Regular players who move on to next game after beating the game a few time would never unlock those, nor would they unlock all the great story element of this game.

Unlocking some of them can be weird for sure, even if the process is as simple as spending 5 blood I had plenty of bloods invested in the rail but it took a lot of runs before zeus said the phrase The trigger was first having him comment on the rail itself But rama, Beowulf & arthur I got in back to back runs immediately after spending the blood haha Getting Achilles to bring up guan yu takes quite a few convos too Idk why people would keep asking you though Paul it's on the wiki and one search away

Hey Jawless Paul, I think it would make sense to include in this video that you have to give nyx six nectar in order to get Achilles keepsake as well as Sisyphus keepsake. I've beaten every weapon all the way up to 10 heat and found online to increase relationship with nyx in order to get the contracts found in the admin room.

I have done 60 runs, got all weapons to around 8-9 heat, max leveled up all charms, got all but a couple achievments, and Achilles still hasn't progressed his quest with me, idk how to trigger it. I've spoken to him and everyone else like 200 times

Anyone else getting really annoyed with the rng? Have played over 50 hours- am onto heat 12 for the fists, my favourite weapon by far. And I cannot unlock Gilgamesh hidden aspect. I have maxed out every other aspect on the fists, encountered Asterius solo countless times and hasn't given me the dialogue. Currently now have done 7 runs without encountering him solo at all, just the butterfly ball when I enter an elite room. Really putting me off the game which is a shame as was loving it beforehand

Oh I thought I had to buy all of the most expensive lounge quests for the scroll . I didn’t know it was for the legendary weapons. I was just thinking, this is gonna be a while but not quite as long as I thought.

I'm not sure, but many conversations are progressed by death, so no need to beat the game.

I already gave dusa the 6 nectar and did the renovations but nothing ever happened after that... I'm thinking it's bugged because I got the other companions but not hers :/

You have to be very patient in this game LOL no you mean you have to grind and grind and grind in this game. In my opinion it is way too grindy. Other than that very fun game. I just don't like it enough to dump hundreds of hours into it

Fair enough! It does require some patience. If you enjoy the story and the dialogue it is much less grindy I think.

The companions are summons in the game. Usually high damage nukes for boss fights.

Yes, I believe finding them in a shop won't do the trick. Also, there might be other dialogue that has to play out.

Ha! The "conversation" my playthrough had with Megera was, she was getting her things. I got the batty companion, but she has a thing going with Thanatos. They are always together in the lounge.
